Lyndal Oatley
Lyndal Oatley (born 27 June 1980) is an Australian equestrian. She represented Australia at two Summer Olympics in equestrian dressage (in 2012 and 2016). Personal Oatley was born on 27 June 1980 in Sydney, Australia. She attended Denman Public School before going to high school at Scone Grammar School. From 2000 to 2006, she attended Charles Sturt University where she earned a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Business Management. , she lives in Nottuln, Germany. Equestrian At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Individual Dressage
The individual dressage in equestrian at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was held at National Equestrian Center from 10 - 15 August. The medals for the competition were presented by Syed Shahid Ali, Pakistan, member of the International Olympic Committee, and the gifts were presented by Maria Gretzer, FEI executive board member. Competition format The team and individual dressage competitions used the same results. Dressage had three phases, with the last being used only for the individual event. The first phase was the Grand Prix. Individuals advanced to the second phase, the Grand Prix Special, if they were on one of the top seven teams or were one of the top 11 remaining competitors. The top 18 competitors in the Grand Prix Special (ignoring Grand Prix scores) advanced to the final phase, the Grand Prix Freestyle. The FEI World Cup Dressage Final is an annual international dressage series involving the world's best dressage horses and riders. It has been held since 1985. The World Cup is run in the form of a CDI. History The history of the World Cup Dressage Final is closely connected to the history of the Grand Prix Freestyle. In 1984 Joep Bartels (former rider, husband of Tineke Bartels and father of Imke Schellekens-Bartels) saw Reiner Klimke and ''Ahlerich'' perform the one tempi changes to John Williams' Olympic Fanfare at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
