La Década Prodigiosa
La Década Prodigiosa (; "The Prodigious Decade"), also known as just La Década, is a Spaniards, Spanish music group formed in the mid-Eighties that participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1988. La Década Prodigiosa came up in 1985 as a project directed by Javier de Juan (Drum kit, drums), Manel Santisteban (piano) and Manuel Aguilar (Bass guitar, bass) to produce an album of Medley (music), medleys of popular Spanish songs from the sixties. Several Session musician, session singers collaborated in this first album, ''Los Años 60, Vol. I''. Due to the success of the album, a band of eight members was formed in 1986 for the second album (''Los Años 60, Vol. II''): Manolo Rodríguez, Cecilia Blanco, Ana Nery, Carmelo Martínez and Jose Subiza joined the three creators. The band toured Spain with their own show. Anna María Agustí Flores (Barcelona, 1 October 1966), known professionally as Nina, is a Spanish singer, vocal coach and actress. Career Nina started her music career in the 1980s performing with bands like "Costa Brava" or "Xavier Cugat", backed by Catalan musician Xavier Cugat. In 1987, she rose to fame nationwide in the popular Televisión Española game show ''Un, dos, tres'', where she was cast as one of the "secretaries". Spain has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 61 times since making its debut in , where they finished ninth. The Eurovision Song Contest 1987 was the 32nd edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Brussels, Belgium, following the country's victory at the with the song "J'aime la vie" by Sandra Kim. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Radio-télévision belge de la Communauté française (RTBF), the contest was held at the Centenary Palace on 9 May 1987 (also Europe Day) and was hosted by French-Belgian singer Viktor Lazlo. Twenty-two countries took part in the contest with and returning to the competition after their absences the previous year. Patricia Kraus
Patricia Kraus (; born 4 January 1964) is a Spanish singer, best known for her participation in the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest. Early life Kraus was born in Milan, Italy. Kraus' father was Alfredo Kraus, a Spanish tenor. As a youngster, Kraus trained as a classical vocalist, but later opted for pop-rock music in preference. Career In 1987, Kraus was chosen internally by TVE as the Spanish representative for that year's Eurovision Song Contest with the song " No estás solo" ("You're Not Alone"). It was not seen by commentators as a Eurovision-friendly song, and at the 1987 Eurovision, held on 9 May in Brussels, could only place 19th out of the 22 entries. Spain participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with an entry selected through a national preselection called ''Eurocanción 2001''. The Benidorm International Song Festival ( es, Festival Internacional de la Canción de Benidorm), until 2004 simply Benidorm Song Festival ( es, Festival de la Canción de Benidorm, links=no), was an annual song contest held in the city of Benidorm, Spain. The contest, based on the Italian Sanremo Music Festival, was created to promote Benidorm and Spanish music.
