Kinabalu Tower
Kinabalu Tower, also known as Sabah State Administrative Centre is a 33-storey, 132-meter-tall, government office complex building in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It is Kota Kinabalu and Borneo's second tallest building. The complex consists of a single 33-storey office tower and two 9-storey office buildings and house the state's chief minister's office and other state government cabinet members. The construction commenced in August 2011 and was scheduled to complete in 30 months. Today, the 33-storey office tower is the second tallest building in Borneo just after the Jesselton Twin Towers, which is in the same city. The Sabah State Government is an authority governing Sabah, one of Borneo states of Malaysia, based in Kota Kinabalu, the state capital. The state government adheres to and is created by both the Federal Constitution of Malaysia, the supreme law of Malaysia, and the Constitution of the State of Sabah, the supreme law of the State. The Malaysian ringgit (; plural: ringgit; symbol: RM; currency code: MYR; Malay name: ''Ringgit Malaysia''; formerly the Malaysian dollar) is the currency of Malaysia. It is divided into 100 ''sen'' (formerly ''cents''). The ringgit is issued by the Central Bank of Malaysia. Etymology The word ''ringgit'' is an obsolete term for "jagged" in the Malay language. The word was originally used to refer to the serrated edges. The first European coins to circulate widely in the region were Spanish "pieces of eight" or "cob", their crude appearance resembling stones, hence the word jagged. Tun Mustapha Tower
Tun Mustapha Tower is a 122 metre, 30-story glass tower in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It was built in 1976 by Mori Building Company, a Japanese builder. The building was formerly named Yayasan Sabah Tower as it housed Sabah Foundation (Yayasan Sabah), a state-sponsored foundation to promote education and economic development in the state. In 2001, the tower was renamed to honour Tun Datu Mustapha, a former Sabah chief minister. It is the fifth tallest building in Borneo after the 132-metre tall Sabah State Administrative Centre, 129-metre tall Jesselton Quay Citypads, 126-metre tall Wisma Sanyan and the 125-metre tall Harrington Suites. There is a revolving floor on the 18th floor, which slowly spins to give a complete view of Likas Harbour. It makes one 360 degree rotation per hour. Jesselton Twin Towers
Jesselton Twin Towers is a 56-storey, 192.15-meter-tall twin skyscraper in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Tower B was completed in 26 Dec 2022 and Tower A was completed in 15 Feb 2023. It had surpassed Kinabalu Tower as the tallest building in Borneo Island. Facilities The Jesselton Twin Towers is planned to be the first buildings in Borneo to be equipped with high-speed elevators, made by Mitsubishi. The recreation deck will be located on the tenth floor with facilities such as a gym room, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, function room, sauna and steam room, and children playground. There will also be sky facilities on the 54th and 55th level, which consists of skydeck, skygarden, multipurpose hall, lounge and library. The skydeck is due to be the tallest skydeck in Borneo, overlooking Likas Bay and Mount Kinabalu which is the tallest mountain in Borneo and Malaysia.
