Tun Mustapha Tower
Tun Mustapha Tower is a 122 metre, 30-story glass tower in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It was built in 1976 by Mori Building Company, a Japanese builder. The building was formerly named Yayasan Sabah Tower as it housed Sabah Foundation (Yayasan Sabah), a state-sponsored foundation to promote education and economic development in the state. In 2001, the tower was renamed to honour Tun Datu Mustapha, a former Sabah chief minister. It is the fifth tallest building in Borneo after the 132-metre tall Sabah State Administrative Centre, 129-metre tall Jesselton Quay Citypads, 126-metre tall Wisma Sanyan and the 125-metre tall Harrington Suites. There is a revolving floor on the 18th floor, which slowly spins to give a complete view of Likas Harbour. It makes one 360 degree rotation per hour. Jesselton Twin Towers
Jesselton Twin Towers is a 56-storey, 192.15-meter-tall twin skyscraper in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Tower B was completed in 26 Dec 2022 and Tower A was completed in 15 Feb 2023. It had surpassed Kinabalu Tower as the tallest building in Borneo Island. Facilities The Jesselton Twin Towers is planned to be the first buildings in Borneo to be equipped with high-speed elevators, made by Mitsubishi. The recreation deck will be located on the tenth floor with facilities such as a gym room, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, function room, sauna and steam room, and children playground. There will also be sky facilities on the 54th and 55th level, which consists of skydeck, skygarden, multipurpose hall, lounge and library. The skydeck is due to be the tallest skydeck in Borneo, overlooking Likas Bay and Mount Kinabalu which is the tallest mountain in Borneo and Malaysia. Kinabalu Tower
Kinabalu Tower, also known as Sabah State Administrative Centre is a 33-storey, 132-meter-tall, government office complex building in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It is Kota Kinabalu and Borneo's second tallest building. The complex consists of a single 33-storey office tower and two 9-storey office buildings and house the state's chief minister's office and other state government cabinet members. The construction commenced in August 2011 and was scheduled to complete in 30 months. Today, the 33-storey office tower is the second tallest building in Borneo just after the Jesselton Twin Towers, which is in the same city. Sabah State Legislative Assembly building ( ms, Bangunan Dewan Undangan Negeri Sabah) is the current state legislative complex for the state of Sabah, Malaysia. This is the venue where all the elected state assemblymen from Sabah would convene a meeting in order to debate state government policies and pass laws. History The building was opened in June 1995. Alain Robert (born as Robert Alain Philippe on 7 August 1962) is a French rock climber and urban climber. Known as "the French Spider-Man" (after the comic character Spider-Man) or "the Human Spider", Robert is famous for his free solo climbing, scaling skyscrapers using no climbing equipment except for a small bag of chalk and a pair of climbing shoes. Strategy Because authorities do not normally give him permission for such dangerous exploits, Robert will appear at dawn on the site of whichever giant skyscraper he has chosen to climb.
