Kaitaa
Kaitaa (Finnish) or Kaitans (Swedish) is a district of southern Espoo, Finland, located south of the ''Länsiväylä'' highway, with a population of 6000. Kaitaa mostly consists of detached houses, and contains the Hannusjärvi recreational area. There has been a preservation attempt in May 1998 to save the future of the lake. In the southern part of the district is the Iivisniemi apartment building area. Espoo
Espoo (, ; sv, Esbo) is a city and municipality in the region of Uusimaa in the Republic of Finland. It is located on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland, bordering the cities of Helsinki, Vantaa, Kirkkonummi, Vihti and Nurmijärvi while surrounding the enclaved town of Kauniainen. The city covers with a population of about 300 000 residents in 2022, making it the 2nd-most populous city in Finland. Timo Soini
Timo Juhani Soini (born 30 May 1962) is a Finnish politician who is the co-founder and former leader of the Finns Party. He served as Deputy Prime Minister of Finland from 2015 to 2017 and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2015 to 2019. He was elected as a member of the Espoo city council in 2000, and the Parliament of Finland in 2003. In the 2009 European Parliament election, he won a seat in the European Parliament with Finland's highest personal vote share (nearly 10% of all votes), becoming the first member of the Finns Party in the European Parliament. He was a member of the European Parliament from 2009 until 2011, when he returned to the Finnish Parliament. In the 2011 parliamentary election, his party won 19.1% of the votes, which was described as "shocking" and "exceptional" by the Finnish media. Uusimaa
Uusimaa (; sv, Nyland, ; both lit. 'new land') is a region of Finland. It borders the regions of Southwest Finland, Tavastia Proper (Kanta-Häme), Päijänne Tavastia (Päijät-Häme), and Kymenlaakso. Finland's capital and largest city, Helsinki, along with the surrounding Greater Helsinki area, are both contained in the region, and Uusimaa is Finland's most populous region. The population of Uusimaa is 1,723,000. Jari Sarasvuo
Jari Sarasvuo (born ''Jari Heinonen''; 12 June 1965, in Turku) is the founder, chief owner and CEO of Trainers' House, a Finnish company that arranges training and lectures particularly for marketing topics. Sarasvuo has worked as an editor and chief editor in several magazines and also in Helsinki's Radio City. His first publicity was as a host in a talk show called Hyvät, pahat ja rumat on the Finnish channel MTV3 in the 1990s. After leaving jobs in television, he has worked as a lecturer and as a motivational coach, also publishing six books on the same topic. One of his famous concepts is the "inner hero" (''sisäinen sankari''), and he has also coined the term ''huomiotalous'' ("attention economy"), describing the central role of publicity in the today's economy. Sarasvuo studied business administration, but has not finished the degree. 2006 Finnish Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Finland on 15 and 29 January 2006 which resulted in the re-election of Tarja Halonen as President of Finland for a second six-year term. The first round of voting in Finnish presidential elections always takes place on the third Sunday of January, in this case 15 January 2006. As no candidate received more than half of the vote, a second round was held on 29 January between the two highest placed candidates from the first round, Tarja Halonen and Sauli Niinistö. Tarja Halonen, the incumbent, won the final round by 3.6 percentage points. The newly elected president formally took office for her second term on 1 March, and would have done so on 1 February, had no run-off been necessary (Constitution 55 §). The Parliament of Finland ( ; ) is the unicameral and supreme legislature of Finland, founded on 9 May 1906. In accordance with the Constitution of Finland, sovereignty belongs to the people, and that power is vested in the Parliament.
