KOOK (TV Series)
KOOK ( fa, کوک, ) is BBC Persian TV's weekly music magazine programme. The show features both established and un-discovered music acts from Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Kook recently made a series of programmes from the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. The programme has featured interviews and performances from artists such as Arash, Ebi, Dariush and others. Kook recently hosted a concert in Dubai. In addition the programme has a sister programme called Close-Up A close-up or closeup in filmmaking, television production, still photography, and the comic strip medium is a type of shot that tightly frames a person or object. BBC Persian Television ( fa, تلویزیون فارسی بیبیسی Televizion-e Fârsi-ye BBC) is the BBC's Persian language news channel that was launched on 14 January 2009. The service is broadcast by satellite and is also available online. It is aimed at the 120 million Persian-speakers in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Iranian authorities have been known to harass and intimidate family members of the BBC Persian staff. BBC director Mark Thompson said that the staff of BBC Persian had been subject to "increased levels of intimidation alongside disturbing new tactics" by the Iranian government. 2009 Eurovision Song Contest
The Eurovision Song Contest 2009 was the 54th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Moscow, Russia, following the country's victory at the with the song " Believe" by Dima Bilan. Arash
Arash the Archer ( fa, آرش کمانگیر ''Āraš-e Kamāngīr'') is a heroic archer-figure of Iranian mythology. According to Iranian folklore, the boundary between Iran and Turan was set by an arrow launched by Arash, after he put his own life in the arrow's launch. The arrow was traveling for days before finally landing on the other side of the Oxus on the bark of a walnut tree hundreds of miles away from the original launch site atop a mountain. Behzad Bolour or Behzad Bolurforushan (born 23 March 1965) is one of the senior editors and producers of BBC Persian since 1990, and the producer and director of the program ''Bolour-e Banafsh''. Behzad is a member of the :fa:%D8%AE%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%87 %D8%A8%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%81%D8%B1%D9%88%D8%B4%D8%A7%D9%86, old family of Bolurforushan in Tehran.
