Justin Schmidt (soccer)
Justin Schmidt (born November 3, 1993) is a former American soccer player. Career College and amateur Schmidt played college soccer at the University of Washington between 2012 and 2016, and in the USL Premier Development League with Washington Crossfire. Professional Schmidt was drafted in the second round (35th overall) of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft by Real Salt Lake. Schmidt signed with the club on March 1, 2017. He made his full professional debut for Salt Lake on March 11, 2017 against Chicago Fire. On February 4, 2018, Schmidt signed with USL side Sacramento Republic for the 2018 season. Schmidt signed for New Mexico United ahead of their inaugural USL Championship season in 2019. Everett is the county seat and largest city of Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is north of Seattle and is one of the main cities in the metropolitan area and the Puget Sound region. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The league features 113 teams for 2022, split into sixteen regional divisions across four conferences. USL League Two is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Ventura County Fusion are the current champions, having defeated Long Island Rough Riders 2–1 in the 2022 USL League Two Championship game on August 6, 2022. The 2020 New Mexico United season was the second season for New Mexico United in the USL Championship (USL-C), the second-tier professional soccer league in the United States and Canada. This article covers the period from November 18, 2019, the day after the 2019 USL-C Playoff Final, to the conclusion of the 2020 USL-C Playoff Final, scheduled for November 12–16, 2020. On March 12 the season was suspended for a minimum of 30 days due to concerns for player and fans health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sacramento Republic FC is an American professional soccer team based in Sacramento, California, that plays in the Western Conference of the USL Championship, the second level in US soccer. Co-founded by Warren Smith and Joe Wagoner in 2012, the team started play in 2014 at the 20,231-seat Hughes Stadium, before moving midseason to their current home at Heart Health Park.
