Jonstrup Normal School
Jonstrup is a suburban neighbourhood situated in Furesø Municipality on the west side of Hareskoven forest in the northwestern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. The original village has merged with the neighbouring villages of Måløv in Ballerup Municipality and Smørumnedre in Egedal Municipality to form an urban agglomeration with a population of 20,657 (2022). The neighbourhood is separated from Måløv by Mølledalen, Møllemosen, and Værebro å. History A textile factory was built in the village in the middle of the 18th century. It was destroyed in a fire in 1778 but reopened after being rebuilt in 1781. In 1809, it was converted into a teachers' academy, Jonstrup Seminarium, which moved to new premises in Kongens Lyngby in 1955. Conviently located close to the Værløse Air Base, the buildings in Jonstrup were then acquired by the Danish military and converted into the new Royal Danish Air Force Officers School. Måløv
Måløv is a suburb within Ballerup Municipality, closely attached to Smørumnedre approx. 20 km. west of Copenhagen, in the Capital region, with a population of 8,787 (2022). The suburb is made up by single-family houses and a housing project. 93% of the inhabitants are native Danes. The suburb is connected with the S-train and Måløv station serves commuters from both Måløv and Smørumnedre. Måløv is considered to be founded in 1193. Ballerup Kommune () is a municipality ( da, kommune) in ''Region Hovedstaden'' on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. Smørumnedre
Smørumnedre is a town and suburban area situated in Egedal Municipality in the northwestern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark and forms part of Copenhagen's urban area. The original village has merged with the neighbouring villages of Måløv in Ballerup Municipality and Jonstrup in Furesø Municipality to form an urban agglomeration with a population of 20,657 (1 January 2022). The small and relatively undisturbed village of Smørumovre ("Upper Smørum") is located about 500 metres to the west of Smørumnedre while Lille Smørum("Little Smørum") refers to a group of scattered farms to the south. Værløse Air Base
Værløse Air Base (Danish language, Danish: Flyvestation Værløse) is a former Royal Danish Air Force air base located just south of Værløse, Furesø Municipality, 20 kilometres northwest of central Copenhagen, Denmark. Its ICAO code is EKVL. History Foundation A camp for Royal Danish Army recruits was established at the site in 1910. The airfield was built in 1934.
