John Rattray
John Rattray is a Scottish professional skateboarder. Early life Rattray was raised in Aberdeen and attained a university degree from the University of Glasgow. Professional skateboarding In 2001, Rattray initially turned professional for the British company Blueprint Skateboards and later signed with American company Zero Skateboards, prior to a relocation to the United States (US). During his professional career Rattray has been sponsored by Circa Footwear, the now defunct Savier (with whom he had his first signature model), Osiris shoes, and éS shoes, with whom he had a signature shoe that features the Saltire. Rattray appeared in the console video games ''Skate'', ''Skate 2'', and ''Skate 3''. Blueprint a skateboard company set up in 1996 by Alvin Singfield and Dan Magee. Originally only available in the UK, worldwide demand grew alongside the company. Its products were distributed for sale in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Australia. Originally owned by Joe Burlo, Blueprint and its IP was sold to Max Dufour at Pure Distribution LLC in California. Zero Skateboards is a skateboard company located in Carlsbad, California, United States. The brand was founded by professional skateboarder and entrepreneur Jamie Thomas, and distributed by his Black Box Distribution company. In late June 2014, Thomas announced that the brand would be distributed by the Dwindle Distribution company, based in El Segundo, California. Subsequently, in 2016, Thomas and Dwindle announced that Zero Skateboards would be operated independently by Thomas. Savier Footwear was a Portland, Oregon based skate shoe company operating from 2000-2004. Company history Founded in 2000 by Paul Fidrych, Savier Footwear was a short lived skate shoe company. Savier experimented with shoe material technology and designs uncommon in the skate shoe industry including partnering with Nike and using their Zoom Air technology and using a highly durable patented polymer. Saltire
A saltire, also called Saint Andrew's Cross or the crux decussata, is a heraldic symbol in the form of a diagonal cross, like the shape of the letter X in Roman type. ''Skate'' (stylized as ''skate.'') is a skateboarding video game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and mobile phones. It was developed by EA Black Box and released in 2007. Two sequels, ''Skate 2'' and ''Skate 3'', have been released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as ''Skate It'', a spin-off for Wii, Nintendo DS and iOS platforms. In June 2020, EA announced plans for a new ''Skate'' game.
