Hannes Schnier
Johann "Hannes" Schnier (born March 23, 1977 in Vienna) is an Austrian darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career In June 2006, Schnier won the Austrian National Championship, beating Dietmar Burger in the final. Since 2007, Schnier has played in tournaments sanctioned by the German Darts Corporation, an affiliate of the PDC where its highest ranked player earns automatic qualification for the PDC World Darts Championship. He has made numerous quarter final and semi final appearances but has so far only managed to win one GDC ranked event in Niedernhausen in May 2008. Schnier made his televised debut in the inaugural European Championship (darts), European Darts Championship in Frankfurt, Germany where he lost in the first round to Adrian Lewis. Adrian Lewis
Adrian Lewis (born 21 January 1985) is an English professional darts player currently playing in the PDC. He is a two-time PDC World Darts Champion, winning in 2011 and 2012. He is nicknamed Jackpot, as he won a jackpot gambling in Las Vegas in 2005, but he was unable to collect the money as he was 20 years old, below the US legal gambling age of 21. During the early part of his career until 2007, Lewis was a protégé of 16-time world champion Phil Taylor, with whom he practised in their home city Stoke-on-Trent. He made his television debut in 2004, aged 19 at the UK Open. In addition to his two world championships, Lewis has won two other PDC majors: the 2013 European Championship and the 2014 UK Open. Shi Yongsheng (born September 2, 1970 in Xinyang) is a former China, Chinese professional darts player who competes in the Professional Darts Corporation tournaments. Career In 2004, he lost to Phil Taylor (darts player), Phil Taylor of England 0–3 whitewashed on the 2004 PDC China Telcom Cup. He played in the 2007 PDC World Darts Championship, losing in the first round to Andy Smith (darts player), Andy Smith. In November 2007, Shi won the Chinese qualifiers to return to the World Championship for 2008, thus becoming the first Chinese player to play in two World Championships. He defeated India's Ashfaque Sayed in the preliminary round, but lost in the first round to Alan Warriner-Little. 2009 PDC World Darts Championship
The 2009 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship was the 16th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The event took place at Alexandra Palace in London from 19 December 2008 and 4 January 2009. John Part was the defending champion, having won the PDC World Championship for the second time in the previous year's final against Kirk Shepherd. However, he was eliminated by Bill Davis on the opening night. Shepherd's poor form in 2008 continued, as he was also eliminated in the first round, by Dutchman Jan van der Rassel. Eventually, the title was won by Phil Taylor, with a 7–1 victory in the final over Raymond van Barneveld. Mensur Suljović (Serbian Cyrillic: Менсур Суљовић; born 5 March 1972) is an Austrian professional darts player. He plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, having previously played in the British Darts Organisation (BDO). Nicknamed The Gentle, Suljović is noted for his unorthodox throwing action and favouring double 14 as his finishing double where possible. Suljović is the number one Austrian player in the PDC and reached his first major final in 2016 at the European Championship. He went one step further in winning his first major TV title at the 2017 Champions League of Darts, defeating two-times world champion Gary Anderson on two occasions.
