Hjalmar Fries
Hjalmar Fries Schwenzen (April 16, 1891 – December 14, 1973) was a Norwegian actor and theater director. He had his film debut in '' Pan'' in 1922. Fries was employed at the National Theater in the 1920s, and he was the theater director at the Oslo New Theater from 1934 to 1935. Hjalmar Fries was the brother of the actor Harald Schwenzen and screenwriter Per Schwenzen, and the father of the actress Gretelill Fries. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Plot The great war is in its final stages, and Major General Arthur Ranlow orders an attack on the enemy's nuclear facilities. He has an entirely personal motive for the attack because the officers he assigns are men that he suspects are flirting with his wife. All four officers die during the attack. ''Den store barnedåpen'' (The Great Christening) is a 1931 Norway, Norwegian comedy film. It was directed by Tancred Ibsen and featured Einar Sissener, Aase Bye and Unni Torkildsen. It was the first feature-length Norwegian sound film. It was based on the 1925 play of the same name written by Oskar Braaten (1881–1939). The lacklustre Harald (Sissener) is taken in by Alvilde (Bye), and charged with looking after her bastard child. It soon dawns on both of them that Harald has more potential than previously assumed. ''Til sæters'' (To the Mountain Pastures) is a Norwegian silent comedy film from 1924 directed by Harry Ivarson (his first Norwegian film). He also wrote the screenplay based on Claus Pavels Riis's 1850 musical ''Til Sæters: dramatisk Idyl med Sange'' (To the Mountain Pastures: A Dramatic Idyll with Singing). The plot of the musical was very thin and mostly served as an excuse to link together various dance performances accompanied by well-known Norwegian folk melodies.
