Hans Podlipnik Castillo
Hans Podlipnik Castillo (; born 9 January 1988) is a Chilean retired tennis player of Slovenian descent. His best results are in doubles, winning one ATP World Tour and reaching another final in this category, besides from winning 19 Challengers and 29 Futures. In singles, he won 23 Futures and reaching in 2015 the final in the Poprad-Tatry Challenger. Since 2015, Podlipnik focused his career on doubles, ranking No. 43 in February 2018. He finished the 2014 season as the Chilean top singles player, ranked No. 196. and again in 2015 as No. 167. He reached his best singles ranking in August 2015, at no. 157. Pablo Gabriel Cuevas Urroz (; born January 1, 1986) is an inactive Uruguayan professional tennis player. Cuevas won the 2008 French Open men's doubles title with Luis Horna. He has won six singles titles and has a career-high singles ranking of World No. 19. Cuevas' career-high doubles ranking is World no. 14, which he achieved in April 2009. In September 2019, Cuevas led the Uruguayan Davis Cup team to a victory over the Dominican Republic, winning entry into the highest Davis Cup tier, the World Group. Andrei Aleksandrovich Vasilevski ( be, Андрэй Аляксандравіч Васілеўскі; russian: Андрей Александрович Василевский; born 28 May 1991) is a Belarusian professional tennis player. 2019 Davis Cup Finals
The Finals, formerly known as World Group, was the highest level of Davis Cup competition in 2019. It was held on indoor hard courts at the Caja Mágica in Madrid, Spain from 18 until 24 November. The ties were contested in a best-of-three rubbers format and were played on one day. There were two singles followed by a doubles. Croatia were the defending champions, but were eliminated during the round robin stage. Spain won the title, defeating Canada in the final, 2–0. It was the Spanish men's national tennis team's first Davis Cup title since 2011 and their sixth Davis Cup title overall. Chile Davis Cup Team
The Chile men's national tennis team represents Chile in Davis Cup tennis tournament and is governed by Federación de tenis de Chile. The team played in the World Group on 2019 and reached the final one time in 1976, losing the cup against Italy in Santiago. Chile is currently #21 in the ITF Davis Cup rankings. The team is currently captained by former Chilean tennis player Nicolás Massú. History Chile began playing at the Davis Cup in 1928, but would not win a tie until 1933, away at Uruguay, winning their first home tie in 1969, against Argentina.
