Gunnar Torvund
Gunnar Torvund (9 July 1948 – 14 October 2019) was a Norwegian sculptor. Personal life Torvund was born in Nærbø to electrician Martin Torvund and Inger Synnøve Risvold Helliesen, and he was a brother of poet Helge Torvund. After art studies in Copenhagen and Oslo, he settled in the municipality of Kviteseid in Telemark. He was married to painter Berit Marie Friestad from 1972 to 1990, and later lived with Kristine Brodersen. Nærbø
Nærbø is the largest village in Hå municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located in the district of Jæren, about half-way between the town of Bryne and the village of Varhaug. The village sits about south of Norway's fourth largest city, Stavanger. The village was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Nærbø from 1894 until 1964 when it was merged into Hå. The village has a population (2019) of 7,269 and a population density of . Helge Torvund
Helge Torvund (born 20 August 1951) is a Norwegian psychologist, poet, essayist, literary critic and children's writer. He was born in Hå municipality and is brother of sculptor Gunnar Torvund. He made his literary debut in 1977 with ''Hendene i byen''. In 1989 he was awarded the Nynorsk Literature Prize for the poetry collection ''Den monotone triumf''. He received the Herman Wildenvey Poetry Award in 2016. From 2015 he has been writing monthly in the newspaper ''Klassekampen''. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Kviteseid
Kviteseid is a Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Telemark in the Counties of Norway, county of Vestfold og Telemark in Norway. It is part of the Districts of Norway, traditional region of Upper Telemark and Vest-Telemark. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Kviteseid. Telemark
Telemark is a traditional region, a former county, and a current electoral district in southern Norway. In 2020, Telemark merged with the former county of Vestfold to form the county of Vestfold og Telemark. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old.
