Goat Story
''Goat Story - The Old Prague Legends'' ( cs, Kozí příběh - pověsti staré Prahy) is a 2008 Czech 3D Computer animation, computer-animated Fantasy film, fantasy comedy film produced and directed by Jan Tománek and written by Tománek with David Sláma. The first Czech-produced feature-length computer-animated film, it features animation by Art And Animation studios, and was released May 19, 2010 in the USA. The film features the voices of Jiří Lábus, Matěj Hádek, Mahulena Bočanová, Michal Dlouhý, Petr Pelzer, Jan Přeučil, Viktor Preiss, Miroslav Táborský, Karel Heřmánek, Petr Nárožný, Dalimil Klapka, Pavel Rímský, Ota Jirák, Filip Jevič and Justin Svoboda. Produced over the course of five years with a budget of $1.8 million, only about ten animators and 3D computer graphics, 3D graphic designers created it. Jan Tománek
Jan Tománek (born 14 February 1978, Prague) is a Czech movie director, writer and artist. He is the creator of animated movies ''Goat Story – The Old Prague Legends'' and '' Goat Story with Cheese''. Nowadays he is mostly writing books. Biography He graduated from the High School of Arts in Prague in 1996. He has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague since 1999, in the studio of New Media. He has been making short 3D animated movies and combined movies with real actors since 1997. In 1997 he created his first short movie, '' Perpetuum mobile''. In 1999 he produced two short acted movies and one 3D animated story about two living glasses. Since 2007 he has been working with Czech Television on his latest movie, which will be a combination of 3D modelled backgrounds with real actors shot on a blue background. Jiří Lábus
Jiří Lábus (born 26 January 1950, in Prague) is a Czech actor. His brother is the Czech architect Ladislav Lábus. In 1973, he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and joined the theatre Studio Ypsilon, where he remains employed to this day. He also appeared several times as guest actor in other theatres ( National Theatre, Theatre Viola, Theatre Ungelt). He performed several roles in both television and film. He gained popularity in Germany for his role of evil wizard Rumburak in the TV series '' Arabela''. In the 1980s, he gave his voice to a stuffed moderator called ''Jů'' in the popular children's TV show ''Studio Kamarád''. Tolar (german: Thaler, links=no) or Jáchymovský tolar is the Czech language, Czech name for the silver coin minted in Kingdom of Bohemia from 1520 until 1672 in Jáchymov (German: ''Joachimsthal''). Charles Bridge ( cs, Karlův most ) is a medieval stone arch bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Goat Story 2
''Goat Story 2'' (AKA - Goat story with Cheese) is a 2012 Czech 3D computer-animated comedy feature film ( cs, Kozí příběh se sýrem). Directed by Jan Tománek and produced by Art And Animation studio, it is a sequel to the 2008 film ''Goat Story''. The film was animated by a changed team from the first film, with animators joining the project from countries including Spain, Bulgaria and India. The film was released in 2D and 3D and was rendered in in-house GPU renderer FurryBall. It also was possibly the first world feature animated movie that was rendered completely on GPU. In 2015, the producers put the movie on YouTube for free.
