Jan Tománek
Jan Tománek (born 14 February 1978) is a Czech movie director, writer and artist. He is the creator of animated movies ''Goat Story: The Old Prague Legends'' and '' Goat Story with Cheese''. Biography Tománek graduated from the High School of Arts in Prague in 1996. He has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague since 1999 in the studio of New Media. He has been making short 3D animated movies and combined movies with real actors since 1997. In 1997, he created his first short movie, ''Perpetuum mobile''. In 1999, he produced two short acted movies and one 3D animated story about two living glasses. Since 2007, he has been working with Czech Television on his latest movie, which was a combination of 3D modelled backgrounds with real actors shot on a blue background. ''Goat Story 2'' is a 2012 Czech animated comedy feature film (). Directed by Jan Tománek and produced by Art And Animation studio, it is a sequel to the 2008 film ''Goat Story''. The film was animated by a changed team from the first film, with animators joining the project from Spain, Bulgaria and India. The film was released in 2D and 3D and was rendered in in-house GPU renderer FurryBall. Plot After the events of the first ''Goat Story'', the Goat leaves old Prague for the fairy cheese kingdom and must save the parents of her new friends. The Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (; AVU) is an art college in Prague, Czech Republic. Founded in 1799, it is the oldest art college in the country. The school offers twelve master's degree programs and one doctoral program. History Starting in the early 18th century, a series of organizations were formed in Prague with an interest in promoting art and education. Thanks in part to their efforts, the Academy of Fine Arts was founded by Imperial Decree on 10 September 1799. Joseph Bergler the Younger was the first director. It began with instruction in drawing. Laterna Magika
Laterna magika (), largely considered the world's first multimedia theatre, was founded as a cultural program at the 1958 Brussels Expo. It launched its official activity on 9 May 1959, as an independent company of the National Theatre, performing at the Adria palace in Prague. Wonderful Circus, which premiered in 1977, is the most frequently performed theatre piece in Central Europe, and has remained in the repertoire ever since. Laterna magika now is one of the ensembles of the National Theatre, based at the New Stage of the National Theatre in Prague. Laterna magika productions blend various genres, ranging from dramatic acting through affording a dominant role to dance and ballet to mime and Black Theatre.
