Faluas Do Tejo
''Faluas do Tejo'' (English: "''Faluas'' of the Tagus") is the eighth studio album by Portuguese group Madredeus. It was released on 14 February 2005 by EMI-Valentim de Carvalho. It is the last Madredeus album with vocalist Teresa Salgueiro and musicians José Peixoto and Fernando Júdice. Recording ''Faluas do Tejo'' was recorded in February 2004 at the Xangrilá Studios in Lisbon, Portugal, in the same recording sessions as the group's previous album, '' Um Amor Infinito''. Madredeus Albums
Madredeus () are a Portuguese musical ensemble formed in 1985, in Lisbon. Their music combines traditional Portuguese music, fado and folk music. Madredeus are one of the most successful music groups from Portugal, having sold over 3 million albums worldwide. History 1985–1993: Formation and first lineup Madredeus' first lineup consisted of Pedro Ayres Magalhães (classical guitar), Rodrigo Leão (keyboard synthesizer), Francisco Ribeiro (cello), Gabriel Gomes (accordion) and Teresa Salgueiro (vocals). Magalhães and Leão formed the band in 1985, Ribeiro and Gomes joined in 1986. In search of a female singer, they found Teresa Salgueiro in one of Lisbon's night clubs. The Associação Fonográfica Portuguesa (AFP; English: ''Portuguese Phonographic Association'') is the recording industry association of the major labels in Portugal. The list has passed through various name changes and has expanded from a Top 10 to a Top 100. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published, one on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia. Daniel Blaufuks
Daniel Blaufuks (born 1963) is a Portuguese photographer. Life and work Blaufuks was born in Lisbon. He is the grandson of Polish and German Ashkenazi Jews who moved to Portugal in the late 1920s and 1930s. He moved to Germany in 1976 and returned to Portugal in 1983. He spent several years in the import business, which provided his first-and-last regular job. Blaufuks wanted to be a writer from an early age, but lacked confidence in his ability. He studied photography and started his free-lancing career at the weekly music newspaper ''Blitz'', followed by the newspaper O Independente and, later, the Portuguese Marie Claire and others. In 1989, he won the Portuguese Kodak Award despite the fact he had to settle in court with the company. In 1996, he was among the first eight chosen for the European Photography Award. ''All About Jazz'' is a website established by Michael Ricci in 1995. A volunteer staff publishes news, album reviews, articles, videos, and listings of concerts and other events having to do with jazz. Ricci maintains a related site, ''Jazz Near You'', about local concerts and events.
