Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling-Explosion (FMW-E) is a Japanese professional wrestling promotion founded on July 28, 1989, by Atsushi Onita as (FMW). The promotion specializes in hardcore wrestling involving weapons such as barbed wire and fire. They held their first show on October 6, 1989. In the late 1990s, FMW had a brief working agreement with Extreme Championship Wrestling, and as well had 14 DVDs released in the U.S. by Tokyopop. On March 4, 2015, FMW was resurrected under the name . Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling held a variety of professional wrestling tournaments competed for by wrestlers that were part of their roster during its existence between 1989 and 2001. Hisakatsu Oya
is a semi-retired Japanese professional wrestler. Although he started out for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, he is well known for his stint in Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling. Career New Japan Pro-Wrestling (1986–1989) Kenichi Oya trained at the NJPW Dojo. He made his wrestling debut in April 1986, against Masahiro Chono. During his tenure in New Japan, Oya also teamed with the likes of Kensuke Sasaki and El Samurai, Osamu Matsuda. However, due to injuries, he retired in 1989. Super World of Sports (1990–1992) After a hiatus, Oya joined Super World of Sports in July 1990. Oya would not only wrestle his fellow SWS comrades, he would also wrestle against stars from the World Wrestling Federation as well. In January 1992, he teamed up with Kazuo Sakurada, Kendo Nagasaki for a tournament to determine the first SWS Tag Team Champions, which was won by Yoshiaki Yatsu and Tonga Fifita, Haku. FMW 6th Anniversary Show was a professional wrestling event produced by Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW), taking place on May 5, 1995 at the Kawasaki Stadium in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan. This was the sixth edition of the company's flagship event Anniversary Show, commemorating the sixth anniversary of the company and the third consecutive and fourth overall edition of Anniversary Show at Kawasaki Stadium. The main event was a heavily-hyped no rope exploding barbed wire deathmatch between Atsushi Onita and Hayabusa for Onita's FMW Brass Knuckles Heavyweight Championship and it was billed as Onita's retirement match. Onita defeated Hayabusa to retain the title. Summer Spectacular (1993) was the second Summer Spectacular professional wrestling event produced by Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW). The event took place on August 22, 1993 at the Hankyu Nishinomiya Stadium in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo, Japan. Thirteen matches were contested at the event.
