Olsztyn ( , ; german: Allenstein ; Old Prussian: ''Alnāsteini'' * Latin: ''Allenstenium'', ''Holstin'') is a city on the Łyna River in northern Poland. It is the capital of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, and is a city with county rights. The population of the city was estimated at 169,793 residents in 2021. Expressway S7 (Poland)
Expressway S7 or express road S7 ( pl, Droga ekspresowa S7) is a major road in Poland which has been planned to run from Gdańsk on the Baltic coast through Elbląg, Warsaw, Radom, Kielce and Kraków to Rabka near the border with Slovakia. On almost the entire route, the S7 will be built by upgrading the existing National Road 7 (DK 7). Its total planned length is , of which has been built and a further is under construction in December 2019. The upgrade is part of a European plan to fund 330 kilometers of new express roads in Poland. As of August 2022, the longest stretch of this road that has been completed is a long section between Gdańsk and the village of Siedlin (59 km (37 mi) north-west of Warsaw). According to current government plans, the road is to be completed by 2026, with the exception of Kraków - Myślenice section (25 km) where the existing dual carriageway national road 7 will serve the traffic until S7 is constructed in unspecified future. Olsztynek
Olsztynek (german: Hohenstein in Ostpreußen) is a town in northern Poland, in Olsztyn County, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It is the administrative seat of Gmina Olsztynek. It is part of the historic region of Masuria. Geography Olsztynek is located about south of Olsztyn in the western part of the Masurian Lake District, where it borders on the Prussian Uplands (''Prusy Górne''), part of the Baltic Uplands. Transport Olsztynek station is a stop on the railway line from Olsztyn to Działdowo. Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship or Warmia-Masuria Province or Warmia-Mazury Province (in pl, Województwo warmińsko-mazurskie, is a voivodeship (province) in northeastern Poland. GDDKIA
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways ( pl, Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad, GDDKiA) is the central authority of national administration set up to manage the national roads and implementation of the state budget in Poland. The GDDKiA was established on 1 April 2002 by the Polish Ministry of Transportation. Controlled-access highways in Poland are part of the National roads in Poland, national roads network and they are divided into motorways and Controlled-access highway, expressways. Both types of highways feature grade-separated Interchange (road), interchanges with all other roads, Shoulder (road), emergency lanes, feeder lanes, wildlife protection measures and dedicated roadside rest areas. Motorways differ from expressways in their technical parameters, like designated speed, permitted road curvature, lane widths or minimal distances between interchanges.
