Dolphin Club (Norway)
The Dolphin Club ( no, Dolphins viseklubb) was a music club in Oslo, Norway. The club was started at the initiative of the Norwegian painter and graphic artist Ole Hauki ( :no:Ole Hauki) (a.k.a. Hauki had returned from a stay in the United States, and brought the idea for the club back with him. Hauki managed the club for five years. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Øystein Sunde
Øystein Olaf Sunde (born 24 January 1947) is a Norwegian folk singer and guitarist. He is known for his high-speed guitar and banjo style and his satirical lyrics. Although often regarded as a comedian, Sunde is a versatile guitarist who has played with several Dixieland bands and jazz combos over the years. Early years He was born 24 January 1947 in Oslo, but his family moved to Skarnes in 1954 where Sunde went to school. In 1955, the family moved back to Lambertseter in Oslo and Sunde continued school there. The same year he started playing piano, but he did not like this because he was forced to rehearse scales and partially because his teacher could play boogiewoogie and Sunde was not allowed to do so by his teacher. Steinar Ofsdal (born 4 October 1948) is a Norwegian composer and flutist. Career Ofsdal has since 1967 performed on numerous stages in Norway, and worldwide in different settings. He has performed alone or within one of his many bands, and is also known as one of the members of the folk group Bukkene Bruse, including Annbjørg Lien, Arve Moen Bergset and Bjørn Ole Rasch. He has written several compositions for his own concert use, and music for theater, film, television and radio. Finn Bjørn Kalvik (born 30 April 1947) is a Norwegian singer and composer. Early career He was born in Fåvang, but his family moved to the working class district of Grorud, Oslo in 1952. Early in his career Kalvik found success putting music to the poetry of popular Norwegian writers André Bjerke and Inger Hagerup. He made his breakthrough in 1969 with the song ''Finne meg sjæl'', and he also had major hits in 1971 with ''En tur rundt i byen'' (based on Ralph McTell's '' Streets Of London'') and in 1975 with ''Ride ranke'' (based on Harry Chapin's ''Cat's in the Cradle''). Hege Tunaal (born 17 June 1948) is a Norwegian singer. She was born in Bærum. Lars Klevstrand (born 30 September 1949) is a Norwegian singer, guitarist, composer and actor. He was born in Drammen, Buskerud, the son of Olav Klevstrand and Grethe Sofie Larsen, and was brought up in Bærum. Career His debut album was ''Vi skal ikkje sova'' from 1968. In 1970, he published the songbook ''Gjøglerhåndbok''. Among his albums from the 1970s were ''På stengrunn'' from 1973 (a cooperation with Lillebjørn Nilsen, Kari Svendsen and others), ''Riv ned Gjerdene!'' from 1976, and ''Høysang'' from 1978. Bjørn Morisse
Bjørn Morisse (7 February 1944 – 27 July 2006) was a Norwegian musician, illustrator and comics creator. Personal life Morisse was born in Oslo and was a brother of Tor Morisse. Having spent part of his childhood in the United States, he was educated as illustrator. Bjorn was married to Aud Berggren - mother of his only son Andre born on April 23, 1966, he divorced Aud Berggren in 1972. He then married Penny Sugg (after their divorce she remarried and got Holtzem as surname) in 1974 until 1982. His son Andre lives and works in New York city. Bjørn died in Kristiansand in July 2006.
