Dead Reflection
''Dead Reflection'' is the ninth studio album by Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein, released on July 14, 2017 through Rise Records worldwide and New Damage Records in Canada. This was the band's last album on Rise Records. Background and recording In December 2016, Shane Told spoke to ''Alternative Press'' about their single "Ghost" and the then-upcoming album ''Dead Reflection''. In an interview with Alternative Press on June 15, 2017, Told detailed what drove the writing of ''Dead Reflection'': On June 28, 2017, Silverstein released a studio documentary to give fans more information about the album and the making of it. Release On October 13, 2016, Silverstein debuted the stand-alone single "Ghost" on Sirius XM Faction, and released a music video for the song. "Ghost" is featured on ''Dead Reflection''. Silverstein () is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. They have released a total of 11 studio albums, seven EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. Their lineup had remained unchanged for eleven years since December 2001, consisting of lead vocalist Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In September 2012, the band had announced that Neil Boshart had been fired and would be replaced by Paul Marc Rousseau, who also joined Billy Hamilton on backing vocals. Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. Dine Alone Records is a Canadian and American independent record label, founded in St. Catharines and Toronto by Joel Carriere. The label is now based in Toronto, Nashville and Los Angeles. History Dine Alone was born out of founder Joel Carriere's home in St. Catharines, Ontario. Paul Marc Rousseau
Paul Marc Rousseau (born March 18, 1989) is a Canadian musician who is the lead guitarist for the rock band Silverstein. Musical education Rousseau took piano lessons from his mother. In 1998, he acquired a copy of the Green Day album ''Dookie'', and enjoyed it. He asked his mother if he could play the guitar, and she bought him an acoustic instrument. He learned to play it by ear, briefly taking lessons to be able to play Green Day songs. He attended the Friday night concerts at the Burlington YMCA, hearing many local bands, some of which were successful outside the area. Rousseau had been a fan of the band Silverstein, and had been influenced by their debut album, ''When Broken Is Easily Fixed'', one of the first albums with screamo characteristics that he had heard.
