Bangladesh Football Federation (, ''Bānlādēśa phuṭabala phēḍārēśana'') is the governing body that administrates the sport of association football in Bangladesh. Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Dhaka, founded in 1936 at Dhaka, is one of the oldest and one of the most popular football clubs in Bangladesh, with a support base in all parts of the country. The club currently plays in the Bangladesh Premier League. History The clubs journey began in Hazaribagh. Members of the famed Nawab family of Dhaka wanted to establish a local club for the youth. Brothers Union is a football club based in Gopibag, Dhaka. The club was founded in 1949 and the regal business tycoon Kazi Ghiyasuddin Ahmed, better known as K. G. Ahmed served as the founder chairman of the club. At the beginning it was a well-known cultural organization. In 1973, the club started their football activities. They played 3rd Division Football League in 1973 and in 1974 and were promoted to 2nd Division in 1975. Brothers also won the title in the same year and as a result this club was promoted to 1st Division. Brothers won their first major title in the year 2004. Rizvi Karim Rumi ( bn, রিজভী করিম রুমি; born 18 May 1968) is a retired Bangladeshi professional footballer who played both as a winger and as a striker for the Bangladesh national football team. Rumi captained Bangladesh for a brief period between 1992 and 1993. He spent most of his career with Abahani Limited and also had a brief stint in the Calcutta Football League with East Bengal. Mahmudul Haque Liton ( bn, মাহমুদুল হক লিটন; born 13 December 1964) is a retired Bangladeshi football player and manager. Playing career Liton started his career in the Dhaka First Division Volleyball in 1978. In 1981, he trialed for East End Club, however he registered for Victoria SC in the Dhaka Football League. After failing to make an appearance for Victoria, he joined East End Club in the mid-season window. In 1982, he played for Bangladesh Green team in the President's Gold Cup.
