Mahmudul Haque Liton
Mahmudul Haque Liton ( bn, মাহমুদুল হক লিটন; born 13 December 1964) is a retired Bangladeshi football player and manager. Playing career Liton started his career in the Dhaka First Division Volleyball in 1978. In 1981, he trialed for East End Club, however he registered for Victoria SC in the Dhaka Football League. After failing to make an appearance for Victoria, he joined East End Club in the mid-season window. In 1982, he played for Bangladesh Green team in the President's Gold Cup. In 1983, Liton joined Brothers Union, and was later made club captain. In 1984, he represented Bangladesh U20 at the 1985 AFC Youth Championship qualifiers and registered a goal against Singapore U20. In 1985, he scored against Abahani Krira Chakra during the title deciding match which Brothers lost 2–3. Football has been a sport at the South Asian Games since it commenced in 1984. Since the 2004 South Asian Games, the age limit for men's teams is under 23, plus up to three overaged players for each squad, which is the same as the age limit in football competitions at the Summer Olympics and Asian Games. Nepal and Pakistan are currently the most successful countries in the Men's event with 4 Gold Medals each while India is the most successful in Women's event with 3 Gold Medals. The 2010-11 Grameenphone Bangladesh League started on the 27 December 2010. 12 teams competed with each other on a home and away basis. 2010-11 was the fourth Bangladeshi league season in the professional and the second since being was renamed from B League to Bangladesh League in order to combat suggestions that it is a second-tier league.
