Correctional Services Bureau
The Correctional Services Bureau (; pt, Direcção dos Serviços Correccionais, DSC) is the agency responsible for maintaining inmates in Macau, China. It is under the administration of the Secretariat for Security. History On 1 January 2016, Macau Prison () and the Youth Correctional Institution that was under the Legal Affairs Bureau were re-structured as the Correctional Services Bureau. Coloane (Cantonese: Lou Wan) is a former island in Macau that is united with the island of Taipa by an area of reclaimed land known as Cotai. It is located at the southern part of Macau. Administratively, the boundaries of the traditional civil parish ( pt, freguesia) of São Francisco Xavier are coterminous with that of Coloane. Macau Peninsula
The Macau Peninsula is the most populous and historical part of Macau. It has an area of () and is geographically connected to Guangdong Province at the northeast through an isthmus wide. The peninsula, together with downtown Zhuhai, sits on an island separated from the continent by distributaries of the Pearl River. The Border Gate (; pt, Portas do Cerco) was built on the northern isthmus. Hong Kong Correctional Services
Hong Kong Correctional Services (also called Correctional Services Department (CSD)) is responsible for the management of prisoners and prisons in Hong Kong. The Commissioner of Correctional Services reports to the Secretary for Security. Although the Chief Magistrate (now Commissioner of Police) was given control over prisons in 1841, the legislation to create the department did not come into being until 1853.
