Macau Peninsula
The Macau Peninsula is the most populous and historical part of Macau. It has an area of () and is geographically connected to Guangdong Province at the northeast through an isthmus wide. The peninsula, together with downtown Zhuhai, sits on an island separated from the continent by distributaries of the Pearl River. The Border Gate (; pt, Portas do Cerco) was built on the northern isthmus. At the south, the peninsula is connected to Taipa Island by three bridges, the Friendship Bridge (''Ponte de Amizade''); the Macau-Taipa Bridge (''Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho''); and the Sai Van Bridge (''Ponte de Sai Van''). The longest axis extends from the Border Gate to the southwestern edge, Barra (媽閣嘴). There is a western "Inner Harbor" (內港) paralleled by an "Outer Harbor" (外港) to the east. Macau
Macau or Macao (; ; ; ), officially the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (MSAR), is a city and special administrative region of China in the western Pearl River Delta by the South China Sea. With a population of about 680,000 and an area of , it is the most densely populated region in the world. Sino-Portuguese Treaty Of Peking
The Sino-Portuguese Treaty of Peking was a trade treaty between the Kingdom of Portugal and the Qing dynasty of China, signed on 1 December 1887. It is counted by the Chinese as among the unequal treaties in the aftermath of the Second Opium War. The treaty gave Portugal perpetual colonial rights to Macau on the condition that Portugal would cooperate in efforts to end the smuggling of opium. São Lourenço is a civil parish ( pt, freguesia) of Macau. It is located in the southwestern of Macau Peninsula and named after Lawrence of Rome. This parish was one of five in the former Municipality of Macau, one of Macau's two municipalities that were abolished on 31 December 2001 by Law No. 17/2001, following the 1999 transfer of sovereignty over Macau from Portugal to China. While their administrative functions have since been removed, these parishes are still retained nominally. It was surrounded by water on all sides except north and Southeast. Sé is a southeast Freguesia (Macau), civil parish ( pt, freguesia) in the Macau Peninsula of Macau. It is the second largest peninsular district in Macau after the civil parish of Freguesia de Nossa Senhora de Fátima (Macau), Nossa Senhora de Fátima. The parish area is named for the Igreja da Sé (Macau), Igreja da Sé. Santo António is a civil parish ( pt, freguesia) in the western portion of the Macau Peninsula of Macau. It has the highest population density in Macau (98,776 persons per km²). Nossa Senhora de Fátima is the northernmost and largest civil parish in the Macau Peninsula of Macau. It has an area of and a population of 126,000, which constitutes about 40.3% of the peninsula's land mass and one-third of the population.
