Capriccio All'Italiana
''Caprice Italian Style'' ( it, Capriccio all'italiana) is a 1968 Italian comedy film directed by six different directors, including Mario Monicelli and Pier Paolo Pasolini. The film starred both Totò and the comic duo Franco and Ciccio. Plot The film is composed of five episodes.In the first a German nanny behaves too rude and harsh with children, proposing to read comic social satire of Germany. The children are upset. In the second Toto is an old bourgeois who joins with a nice young girl. The girl follows the social models of the time, namely the "hippies" guys. Toto, however, is a man of the old school, and hates these young people who are considered by him dirty, ignorant and rude. But Toto soon comes in contact with them, and so plans a diabolical revenge against the youngsters. In the third a couple remains stuck in traffic in Rome. Mario Monicelli
Mario Alberto Ettore Monicelli (; 16 May 1915 – 29 November 2010) was an Italian film director and screenwriter and one of the masters of the ''Commedia all'Italiana'' (Comedy Italian style). He was nominated six times for an Oscar, and was awarded the Golden Lion for his career. Franco () and Ciccio () were a comic comedy duo formed by Italian actors Franco Franchi (1928–1992) and Ciccio Ingrassia (1922–2003), particularly popular in the 1960s and 1970s. Their collaboration began in 1954 in the theater field, and ended with Franchi's death in 1992. The two made their cinema debuts in 1960 with the film ''Appuntamento a Ischia''. They remained active until 1984 when their last film together, ''Kaos'', was shot, although there were some interruptions in 1973 and from 1975 to 1980. Together, they appeared in 112 films. Dante Maggio (2 March 1909 – 3 March 1992) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in 115 films between 1940 and 1975. Born in Naples into a family of actors, Maggio had a turbulent adolescence that led his father to send him in an institute for problematic minors. Giovanni "Ninetto" Davoli (born 11 October 1948) is an Italian actor who became known through his roles in several of Pier Paolo Pasolini's films. Biography Davoli was born in San Pietro a Maida, Calabria. He was discovered by poet, novelist and film director Pier Paolo Pasolini, then 43, who had begun a relationship with Davoli, then a 15-year-old boy, in 1963.
