Beloved (band)
Beloved is an American post-hardcore band from Kernersville, North Carolina, United States. History Beloved formed in the fall of 1999. The original members all attended East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, NC from 1996-2000. They played local shows in the surrounding areas of Kernersville where they grew in popularity almost immediately. In 2000, they independently released their first album, ''...And So It Goes''. The band toured the country with bands such as Underoath, Luti-Kriss/ Norma Jean and Cool Hand Luke, including a performance at the Cornerstone Festival. In the spring of 2001, they gained the attention of upstart label Vindicated Records, who released their next release, ''The Running'', later that year. During this time, the band also released a limited online pre-release for ''The Running'' which included rough studio versions of the tracks "The Blue Period" and "Into Your Arms." Kernersville is a town in Forsyth County and the largest suburb of Winston-Salem. The town is located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. A small portion of the town is also in Guilford County. The population was 26,481 at the 2020 census, up from 23,123 in 2010. Kernersville is located at the center of the Piedmont Triad metropolitan area, between Greensboro to the east, High Point to the south, and Winston-Salem to the west. Norma Jean (formerly known as Luti-Kriss) is an American metalcore band from Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Since their inception in 1997, numerous lineup changes have left the band with no original members. To date, Norma Jean has released nine studio albums and received a Grammy Award nomination in 2006 for Best Recording Package for their second album '' O' God, the Aftermath''. The band's name is derived from the real name of actress Marilyn Monroe. Glass Casket is a deathcore band from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They were originally called Gadrel when releasing their first demo ''To Cherish a Falsity''. The band formed after several members' previous band Narayan broke up. Dustie Waring and Blake Richardson are also members of Between the Buried and Me, and Adam Cody is a member of metal band Wretched and the grindcore band Columns. Jake Troth, who joined Glass Casket prior to the recording of '' A Desperate Man's Diary'', also played in Columns, but left the band in 2007. Garth Richardson
Garth "GGGarth" Richardson is a Canadian record producer and music engineer. He is the son of music producer Jack Richardson (Alice Cooper, The Guess Who, Badfinger, Poco), a pioneer of the music recording industry in the 1960s and 1970s. Garth Richardson has done music engineering work for the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback, and Mötley Crüe, and produced for Kittie, Biffy Clyro, Rage Against the Machine, Mudvayne, Melvins, Shihad, Kensington, and many others. He cofounded the Nimbus School of Recording Arts in Vancouver, British Columbia together with Bob Ezrin and Kevin Williams. ''Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child'' is the debut album by American metalcore band Norma Jean, released on August 13, 2002 by Solid State Records. It is the band's only album to feature bassist Joshua Doolittle and vocalist Josh Scogin, the latter of whom later became the lead vocalist of The Chariot. Background The band previously released a studio album, ''Throwing Myself'', under the name of Luti-Kriss. The band changed their name due to keyboardist Mick Bailey and bassist Josh Swafford leaving and also wanted to go in a different musical direction (the band played a nu metal/ metalcore hybrid). Older recordings of the songs "I Used to Hate Cellphones, But Now I Hate Car Accidents" and "The Shotgun Message" were released on a split album with mewithoutYou. Tooth & Nail Records is a Christian rock record label founded by Brandon Ebel in California in November 1993. The label later moved to Seattle, Washington where it is situated today. It is home to many well-known musical acts, including Underoath, Hawk Nelson, Emery, The Almost, FM Static, Family Force 5, Anberlin, and MxPx. Tooth & Nail's first album released was Wish for Eden's ''Pet the Fish'', which was produced by Michael Knott and originally slated to be released by Blonde Vinyl. Subsequent releases from The Juliana Theory, MxPx, and Starflyer 59 made Tooth & Nail a strong force in Christian music circles, as well as a niche underground subculture in itself.
