Bazhong Railway Station
Bazhong railway station () is a railway station in Bazhou District, Bazhong, Sichuan, China. It is the southern terminus of the Guangyuan–Bazhong railway and the northern terminus of the Bazhong–Dazhou railway. History On 11 January 2016, the Bazhong–Dazhou railway opened. The service provision was a direct service to Chongqing with a journey time of just over five hours, and a direct service to Chengdu with a journey time of approximately 7.5 hours. Bazhong
Bazhong () is a prefecture-level city in north-eastern Sichuan province, China. Its population was 2,712,894 at the 2020 census whom 1,064,766 lived in Bazhou and Enyang urban districts. History Bazhong became a prefecture-level city in 1993. Its history goes back further; during the Xia and Shang dynasties, it was purportedly a vassal territory of Liang State. In the Spring and Autumn period, it was called Bazi (). In the Qin and Western Han dynasties it was called Ba County (). In the Eastern Han Dynasty, around the year 100 CE, this was changed to Hanchang County (). One hundred years later it reverted to Baxi County (). Since then it has usually either been called Liang County () or Yi County (). China Railway CR200J
The CR200J Fuxing ( zh, s=复兴号, p=Fùxīng Hào "Rejuvenation") is a Chinese higher-speed trainset consisting of a power car paired with unpowered passenger cars operated by China Railway. It is the slowest member of the Fuxing series. The train was jointly designed and produced by six companies under CRRC. These units are nicknamed ''Green EMUs'' or ''Hulk'' by the Chinese media due to its appearance. Design and development The development of CR200J is initiated by China Railway Corporation to create an affordable, economical, efficient higher-speed rail. The development started on 28 August 2015. First prototype started testing on 27 April 2017.
