Back to the Who Tour 51! was a 2016 concert tour of Europe & North America by British band The Who. Overview The tour was announced, in part, on 3 May 2016 and is the continuity of the band's previous tour, The Who Hits 50!. The new tour included a return visit to the Isle of Wight Festival (at the Seaclose Park in Newport, England) on the opening date and ended at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California on 16 October 2016 after thirteen concerts. The Who
The Who are an English rock band formed in London in 1964. Their classic lineup consisted of lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bass guitarist and singer John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. They are considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century, and have sold over 100 million records worldwide. Their contributions to rock music include the development of the Marshall Stack, large PA systems, the use of the synthesizer, Entwistle and Moon's influential playing styles, Townshend's feedback and power chord guitar technique, and the development of the rock opera. La Caja Mágica ''( es, The Magic Box)'' (also known as the Manzanares Park Tennis Center) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Madrid, Spain. Since 2009, it has been the home of the Madrid Open tennis event, and as of 2019, the home of the Davis Cup. There are three courts under the one structure, and a series of retractable roofs. The seating capacity of Courts 1 and 2 would have been increased if Madrid's bid for the 2020 Summer Olympics had been successful. Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle (sometimes shortened to Schleyer-Halle) is an indoor arena located in Stuttgart, Germany. The capacity of the arena is nearly 15,000 people. The venue was built in 1983 and is named for Hanns Martin Schleyer, a German former Schutzstaffel officer and employer representative, who was kidnapped and killed by the terrorist group Red Army Faction. The Rudolf Weber-Arena (originally the Arena Oberhausen) is a multi-purpose arena, located in Oberhausen, Germany. Opening in 1996, the arena is a part of leisure and shopping center, CentrO. The venue was built in Neue Mitte Oberhausen, a former industrial plant. In November 2001, König Brauerei, a brewery in Duisburg purchased naming rights to the arena. In December 2021, the arena's naming rights were purchased by Essen-based cleaning company Rudolf Weber GmbH. Oberhausen (, ) is a city on the river Emscher in the Ruhr Area, Germany, located between Duisburg and Essen ( ).
