Baporo Motorsport is a Spanish auto racing team based in Barcelona, Spain. The team currently races in the TCR International Series, SEAT León Eurocup & European Touring Car Cup. TCR International Series SEAT León Cup Racer (2016–) The team will make its début in the 2016 TCR International Series fielding 2 cars (1 SEAT León Cup Racer and one SEAT León TCR) for Francisco Mora (León Cup Racer) and Loris Hezemans (León TCR). European Touring Car Cup SEAT León Supercopa (2013) During the 2013 European Touring Car Cup the team entered a single SEAT León Supercopa for Nicolas Hamilton in the Single-makes Trophy. Hamilton competed in only 6 races, finishing 10th with 12 points. TCR International Series
The TCR International Series was an international touring car championship. The championship was promoted by World Sporting Consulting (WSC), founded by former World Touring Car Championship manager Marcello Lotti. It was marketed as a cost-effective spin-off of the WTCC, targeted at C-segment hatchbacks production-based touring cars. The title TCR follows the naming convention now used by the FIA to classify the cars that compete in touring car racing, with TC1 referring to the top tier as used by the FIA WTCC and TC2 referring to the legacy cars which principally compete in the FIA ETCC. Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit. The first race was held on 24 March 1986, in memory of János Drapál, the first Hungarian who won motorcycle Grand Prix races. 2015 European Touring Car Cup
The 2015 FIA European Touring Car Cup is the eleventh running of the FIA European Touring Car Cup. It will consist of six events in Hungary, Slovakia, France, Czech Republic, Belgium and Italy. The championship will be split into three categories: Super 2000 for TC2 Turbo and TC2 machinery, Super 1600, and the Single-Make Trophy for cars such as the SEAT León Supercopa. Nikolay Karamyshev, Petr Fulín, Gilles Bruckner and Dmitry Bragin will be the defending champions in TC2 Turbo, TC2, Super 1600 and Single-makes Trophy respectively. From these four only Bruckner will be able to defend his title as Fulín moved to the Single-makes Trophy, while Karamyshev and Bragin left the series. 2013 European Touring Car Cup
The 2013 FIA European Touring Car Cup was the ninth running of the FIA European Touring Car Cup. It consisted of five events in Italy, Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic. The championship was split into three categories: Super 2000, Super 1600, and the Single-Make Trophy for cars such as the SEAT León Supercopa. The Super Production category was abolished for this season. The 2013 season saw the introduction of the Lady Trophy Cup, with the best-placed female driver in either of the categories at each event receiving €10,000 in prize money. The SEAT León Eurocup was a one-make racing, one-make touring car racing series which uses SEAT Leóns, run by SEAT Sport. Background The championship began in 2008, making its debut at Circuit de Valencia, as a support series for the World Touring Car Championship, in which (at the time) SEAT was a leading manufacturer.
