Bangladesh National Under-19 Football Team
Bangladesh national under-20 football team represents Bangladesh in international youth football competitions in SAFF U-18 Championship, AFC U-19 Championship and FIFA U-20 World Cup, as well as any other under-20 & under-19 international football tournaments. The team is operated under the Bangladesh Football Federation. Bangladesh have qualified for the AFC U-19 Championship six previous times and is yet to qualify for FIFA U-20 World Cup. The team also takes part in the SAFF U-18 Championship, however, is yet to win the trophy. From 2022, the Bangladesh U-20 team will take part in the SAFF Championship and AFC Championship, after rebranding of both tournaments. Bangladesh Football Federation (, ''Bānlādēśa phuṭabala phēḍārēśana'') is the governing body that administrates the sport of association football in Bangladesh. 2019 SAFF U-18 Championship
The 2019 SAFF U-18 Championship was be the 3rd edition of the SAFF U-18 Championship, an international football competition for men's under-18 national teams organized by SAFF. The tournament will be hosted by Nepal from September 20 to 29 September 2019. Nepal were the defending champions, having won both the previous editions in 2015 and 2017, however they lost in Group Stage. Squads Players born on or after 1 January 2001 are eligible to compete in the tournament. Each team have to register a squad of minimum 18 players and maximum 23 players, minimum three of whom had to be goalkeepers. Participating teams Pakistan had sent their entry for the meet and they were placed in Group A. However, due to failure to appoint a normalisation committee federation, they withdrew from the tournament. Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu ( bn, হাসানুজ্জামান খান বাবলু; born 5 May 1955) is a retired Bangladeshi football player and coach. At the club level, Bablu is most well known for representing Gopibagh-based Brothers Union. In Dhaka football, he has scored 75 goals including a hattrick. Bablu also represented the Bangladesh national team in the 1980 AFC Asian Cup and played for his country between 1975 and 1982. After retiring, he managed the national team as an interim in 2000, 2003 and 2006. Mohammad Aslam ( bn, মোহাম্মদ আসলাম), popularly known as Aslam, is a former Bangladeshi footballer. He played as a specialist striker and was one of the most lethal marksmen in the Dhaka domestic league during the 1980s and 1990s. Ashish Bhadra ( bn, আশীষ ভদ্র; born 14 March 1960) is a former Bangladeshi footballer. An attacking midfielder, he achieved most of his laurels while playing for Abahani Limited Dhaka in the Dhaka League. Sawpan Kumar Das is a retired Bangladeshi football player and coach. He captained the Bangladesh national football team once during his international career. Club career Sawpan started playing for Bangladesh Police in the 1976 Dhaka League. He then went on to play for Wari Club and Wanderers Club before joining Mohammedan SC in 1980. The high point of his career at Wari came in 1978 when he was a part of the club's famous league double (2–0 & 3–2) over the reigning champions Abahani Krira Chakra. The following year, they defeated Mohammedan SC 2–0 and were dubbed the "Giant Killers" of domestic football. Dewan Shafiul Arefin Tutul is a former national footballer of Bangladesh and the former Youth and Sports Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League. Playing career Tutul began his career as a striker in the Dhaka Second Division Football League with Dhanmondi Club in 1974. He was later invited to join the junior team of Abahani Krira Chakra by Ali Imam.
