Ashish Bhadra
Ashish Bhadra ( bn, আশীষ ভদ্র; born 14 March 1960) is a former Bangladeshi footballer. An attacking midfielder, he achieved most of his laurels while playing for Abahani Limited Dhaka in the Dhaka League. He was a big factor in Abahani dominating the Dhaka football scene in the early 1980s. He also represented the Bangladesh national team with great distinction and was captain during all six games of the 1986 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He has scored 5 official international goals for his country. Early years Ashish's journey started from school football. In 1976, he played Chittagong First Division League for Kazi Deuri Khawaja Recreation Club. He was the captain of the club in 1977 while still being a college student. The 1985–86 Asian Club Championship was the fifth edition of the annual Asian club football competition hosted by the Asian Football Confederation, and was the first such tournament in 14 years. Team Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (Team BJMC) was a sporting club in Bangladesh, which is mainly located in the city of Dhaka. Badal Roy (footballer)
Badal Roy (4 July 1957 – 22 November 2020) was a Bangladeshi footballer. He was an attacking midfielder for the Mohammedan Sporting Club during the 1980s, at a time when the club was battling for supremacy against Abahani Krira Chakra on the Bangladeshi football scene. He played for Mohammedan for the entirety of his Dhaka league career from 1977 until 1989, winning the title five times. He also played for the Bangladesh national football team from 1981 to 1986. Roy later served as the vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation for 3 terms from 2008 to 2020. He was also a vice-president of Bangladesh Olympic Association. Federation Cup (Bangladesh)
Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. Khurshid Alam Babul ( bn, খুরশিদ আলম বাবুল) is a prominent former Bangladeshi footballer of the 1970 and the 80s. Amalesh Sen
Amalesh Sen ( bn, অমলেশ সেন; 2 March 1943 – 7 October 2017) was a Bangladeshi football player and coach. He started his career in Dhaka by playing for Fire Service Team and Shadhin Bangla Football Team, but spent many years as a player and later coach for Dhaka Abahani. Amalesh is the first ever goalscorer in a Dhaka Derby match, he scored the historic goal for Abahani in 1973.
