Aurora Arvelo
Aurora Arvelo (born 5 April 2003) is a Finnish rhythmic gymnast. She represented her country at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games. Personal life Arvelo took up the sport in 2009. She studied at the Mäkelänrinne's sports high school. Career Junior In 2016 Arvelo represented Finland at the Nordic Championship, helping the team win the gold medal. She finished 8th with rope at the national junior championship. Aurora was the 2017 national vice-champion, getting gold in 3 event finals and silver with hoop. In 2018 Arvelo competed at the Nordic Championships where she finished 1st with ribbon and 2nd with ball. At nationals she won the All-around, and the hoop, clubs and ribbon final. She was also selected to compete at the 2018 European Championship in Guadalajara, Spain, she finished 21st with ball, 39th with hoop, 35th with clubs and 25th with ribbon. Rebecca Gergalo (born 16 March 2000) is a Finnish individual rhythmic gymnast. Early life and career Gergalo was born to a Russian mother and Ukrainian father, and she speaks Russian. She began training rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 4. 2016 She made her World Cup debut on February 26-28 at World Cup Espoo. She then competed at three more World Cups that year - Berlin, Baku and Kazan. 2017 After the retirement of Ekaterina Volkova, she got her spot in National team and continued competing at World Cup competitions. She competed at the 2017 European Championships in Budapest, Hungary, her first one. Rebecca competed with all four apparatus, finishing on 20th place with ribbon was her best result. Miss Valentine is an international gymnastics tournament in Tartu, Estonia. The event was first held in 1995 and, as of 2020, has been hosted annually. 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships
The 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships was held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 16 September to 22 September 2019. The competition took place at the National Gymnastics Arena and served as a qualifier to the 2020 Olympic Games. There were Olympic berths awarded to 16 individuals and 5 groups. There were 301 participating athletes from 61 countries. Dina Averina from Russia won gold medals in ball, clubs, and ribbon, and Ekaterina Selezneva won the hoop title. Averina, Selezneva and Arina Averina won Russia's tenth consecutive World team title.
