Arnoldo Penzkofer
Arnoldo "Nene" Penzkofer (1959 in Cambyreta, Itapúa – November 16, 2008 in Asunción) was a Paraguayan basketball player. At a height of 2.12 m (6 ft 11.5 in), Penzkofer was the tallest Paraguayan basketball player in history and one of the most influential figures in the sport. Itapúa Department
Itapúa () is a department in the southern region of Paraguay. The capital is the city of Encarnación. It is divided into 30 districts, more than any other district in the country. Club Olimpia is a Paraguayan sports club based in the city of Asunción. The club promotes the practice of various sports with most importance given to the football, rugby and basketball sides, the former being the highest priority and most successful. Club Sol de América is a Paraguayan sports club, mostly known for its football team. The club is located in Barrio Obrero, Paraguay, and it was founded in 1909. The Paraguayan Metropolitan Basketball League is the most important basketball league from Paraguay. As of 2015, 12 teams are participating in the league.
