Barranquilla
Barranquilla () is the capital district of Atlántico Department in Colombia. José de Jesús RodrÃguez MartÃnez (born 22 January 1981) is a Mexican professional golfer who currently plays on the Korn Ferry Tour. RodrÃguez has previously played on the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and the Tour de las Américas. Background RodrÃguez grew up in poverty in Irapuato, Mexico. He was one of seven siblings who slept shoulder-to-shoulder on the dirt floor of their one-room, bathroom-less adobe home. At the age of 12, he dropped out of school and began caddying full-time at Club de Golf Santa Margarita. That club is where he learned to golf. At the age of 15, RodrÃguez crossed into the United States illegally by crossing the Rio Grande river. The 2013 PGA Tour Latinoamérica, titled as the 2013 NEC Series-PGA Tour Latinoamérica for sponsorship reasons, was the second season of PGA Tour Latinoamérica, the main professional golf tour in Latin America, operated and run by the PGA Tour. Changes for 2013 The 2013 season was the first full season on the tour with the 2012 season having only operated for four months in 2012. The 2013 schedule was divided into two distinct swings, the first with events played from March through May, followed by the remainder of events in the October through December. The 2014 PGA Tour Latinoamérica was the third season of PGA Tour Latinoamérica, having converted from the Tour de las Américas which ceased to operate in 2012. Diego Velásquez (born 22 November 1987) is a Colombian professional golfer who currently plays on PGA Tour Latinoamérica. Amateur career Velásquez represented Oregon State University while at college becoming the first player from Oregon State to be a first team All-American player. During his time at college, Velásquez won several amateur events including the 2008 Giustina Memorial Classic, the 2009 Western Intercollegiate and the 2010 Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. Professional career On finishing college in 2010, Velásquez turned professional.
