ART Teenz ( ar, إيه آر تي تينز; originally ART 3 and ART Children) was one of the first children's channel in the Arab world (before Spacetoon), and part of the ART Network. The channel aimed to contribute to the upbringing of Arab children, by providing them with knowledge, experience, innovation, and awareness of what went on in the world at the time. The channel provided a great number of Arabic cultural and educational programmes, as well as a big selection of children's television series, of both U.S. and European origins, dubbed in the Arabic language. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. SDTV
Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. Arab Radio and Television Network (acronym: ART) is an Arabic-language television network characterized by its multitude of channels. It is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. History and profile ART was founded in October 15, 1993 by Saleh Abdullah Kamel, a Saudi businessman and is a private company specializing in family entertainment, including movies, music and sport. ART was particularly known in Saudi Arabia for its exclusive sports event broadcasts, especially the Saudi Leagues. Spacetoon
( ar, سبيستون or ) is a pan-Arab free-to-air television channel that specializes in animation and children programs. It began broadcasting on 15 March 2000 and it is headquartered in Dubai, UAE with offices in Riyadh. The channel targets children from 4 and up. Its late night block Space Power is targeted at teenagers and young adults. The Spacetoon company also maintains a video-on-demand app called Spacetoon Go. The Spacetoon company has had two now-defunct channels in the Arab world, Space Power TV and Spacetoon English. The main Indonesian channel began airing on 24 March 2005 in Jakarta.
