2023 LET Access Series
The 2023 LET Access Series is a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through October 2023 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. Tournament results The table below shows the 2023 schedule. The numbers in brackets after the winners' names show the number of career wins they had on the LET Access Series up to and including that event. Order of Merit rankings The top 6 players on the LETAS Order of Merit earn membership of the Ladies European Tour for the 2024 season. Players finishing in positions 7–21 get to skip the first stage of the qualifying event and automatically progress to the final stage of the Lalla Aicha Tour School. Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen
Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen (born 5 May 1999) is a Denmark, Danish professional golfer and Ladies European Tour. In 2023, she won three times on the LET Access Series and secured the Order of Merit title. As an amateur, she won the European Nations Cup – Copa Sotogrande and played in the final of the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships. Amateur career Nielsen had a successful amateur career and represented the Danish National Team in European and World Championships between 2016 and 2022. Her European Ladies' Team Championship team finished 5th, 3rd, 8th, 3rd, 5th and 5th, to cement the competitiveness and consistency of the Danish side. Smørum Ladies Open
The Danish Ladies Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour played between 1988 and 1997, the national open golf championship of Denmark. The tournament also featured on the Swedish Golf Tour in 1988, 1989, and 2002, as well as again from 2022, when it was also an LET Access Series event. At only 18, Florence Descampe became the LET's youngest winner at the time when she won the inaugural event in 1988. It was succeeded on the LET schedule in 2005 by the Danish Ladies Masters. Capio Ögon Trophy
The Capio Ögon Trophy is a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour, first played in 1996. It became a LET Access Series event in 2020. It is always held in Uppsala, Sweden. Played at Upsala Golf Club, the club had previous experience hosting the Upsala Golf International on the Challenge Tour in 1992 and 1993. The event was introduced on the 1996 Swedish Golf Tour as one of four new tournaments alongside Toyota Ladies Open, Öijared Ladies Open and Delsjö Ladies Open (last played in 1988). In 1998, Marie Hedberg won while still a student at San Jose State, and only narrowly lost out on the Player of the Year title to runner-up Nina Karlsson. Puk Lyng Thomsen (born 15 April 1998) is a Danish professional golfer. As an amateur she won the 2017 French Ladies Amateur and finished second individually in the 2016 Espirito Santo Trophy. Amateur career Thomsen was born in Frederikshavn in 1998 and started playing golf when she was seven years old. At the age of 13, she was picked for the national team. By the time she accepted a golf scholarship to Florida State University in 2018, she was one of the most accomplished junior golfers in the world, and at 17th spot in the World Amateur Golf Rankings one of the top ranked players to ever sign for Florida State University. The Västerås Ladies Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour and LET Access Series, played since 2018 in Västerås, Sweden. Between 2018 and 2021 the tournament was hosted by U.S.-based Anna Nordqvist, a multiple major championship winner with roots in nearby Eskilstuna.
