Västerås Ladies Open
The Västerås Ladies Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour and LET Access Series, played since 2018 in Västerås, Sweden. Between 2018 and 2021 the tournament was hosted by U.S.-based Anna Nordqvist, a multiple major championship winner with roots in nearby Eskilstuna. In 2022 the tournament moved from Västerås Golf Club to Orresta Golf Club. Lynn University Sophomore Sara Ericsson won on the first extra hole in a play-off with New Zealand's Hanee Song. Västerås
Västerås ( , , ) is a city in central Sweden on the shore of Mälaren, Lake Mälaren in the province of Västmanland, west of Stockholm. 2022 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 2022 Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour was the 37th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden and neighboring countries. Tournaments also featured on the 2022 LET Access Series (LETAS). Schedule The season consisted of 6 tournaments played between May and September, where one event was held in Denmark. Ranking 164 players from 28 countries appeared in the final Order of Merit. In addition to 19 European countries, players from New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, India, South Africa, Morocco and the United States participated. Patricia Isabel Schmidt of Germany won the Order of Merit following victory at the Big Green Egg Swedish Matchplay Championship and two further top-10 finishes. 2018 LET Access Series
The 2018 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from April through November 2018 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. The Jabra Ladies Open, held at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France and since 2014 the European qualifying competition for the Evian Championship, became the tour's first dual-ranking event with the LET. Maja Stark
Maja Sofia Stark (born 10 December 1999) is a Swedish professional golfer. She has six Ladies European Tour titles and earned LPGA Tour membership through her victory at the 2022 ISPS Handa World Invitational. As an amateur she was in contention at the 2020 and 2021 U.S. Women's Open, and after turning professional in August 2021 she won two tournaments in three starts on the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Stark grew up in Abbekås, Skåne County, and joined the Swedish National Team in 2016. She represented her country at the European Girls' Team Championship, where Sweden won the silver in 2016 and the gold in 2017. She was then part of the Swedish teams that won the European Ladies' Team Championship in 2018, 2019 and 2020, teamed with Frida Kinhult, Sara Kjellker, Ingrid Lindblad, Linn Grant, and Beatrice Wallin. Annelie Sjöholm
Annelie Sjöholm (born 7 September 1995) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. Career Sjöholm started to play golf when she was eight years old. She played handball and football for six years but stopped when she was 13 to focus on golf. She won nine junior tournaments between 2009 and 2015, and attributes her success to her aspiration to beat her twin brother Tobias, with whom she toured Sweden competing on the junior circuit. Sjöholm played college golf at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, between 2014 and 2018. She was runner-up in her college debut at the LPGA Xavier Invitational behind Tiffany Chan. The 2020 Swedish Golf Tour was the 35th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden. Schedule The season saw an attempt to rebrand the existing set of tournaments as a pan- Nordic tour, and launch the Nordic Golf Tour (NGT). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the events outside Sweden were cancelled and the remaining Swedish events were removed from the 2020 LET Access Series (LETAS) schedule. Lily May Humphreys (born 14 March 2002) is an English professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She won the 2017 Girls Amateur Championship and the 2023 Joburg Ladies Open. Amateur career Humphreys had a successful amateur career. She won the Fairhaven Trophy in 2016 and the Girls Amateur Championship, English Women's Amateur Championship, and the Junior Orange Bowl International in 2017.
