2022 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 2022 Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour was the 37th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden and neighboring countries. Tournaments also featured on the 2022 LET Access Series (LETAS). Schedule The season consisted of 6 tournaments played between May and September, where one event was held in Denmark. Ranking 164 players from 28 countries appeared in the final Order of Merit. In addition to 19 European countries, players from New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, India, South Africa, Morocco and the United States participated. Patricia Isabel Schmidt of Germany won the Order of Merit following victory at the Big Green Egg Swedish Matchplay Championship and two further top-10 finishes. Patricia Isabel Schmidt
Patricia Isabel Schmidt (born 1 September 1995) is a German professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. She won the 2023 Belgian Ladies Open. Amateur career Schmidt won the 2017 Hetzenhof Open in Baden-Württemberg. In 2018, she finished 3rd at the Luxembourg International Amateur Championship. Professional career Schmidt turned professional in 2021 and joined the LET Access Series. In 2022, she had two runner-up finishes at the Flumserberg Ladies Open and at the Trust Golf Links Series – Musselburgh, before winning the Big Green Egg Swedish Matchplay Championship. She also won the Nordic Golf Tour Order of Merit on the basis of her win and two further top-10 finishes. Schmidt finished fourth on the 2022 LET Access Series Order of Merit to secure her LET card for the 2023 Ladies European Tour. The Swedish Match Play Championship is a golf tournament played since 1904, held for both men and women. It is the oldest and most traditional golf tournament in Sweden. The name SM is shortening in Swedish language for "Svenska Mästerskapet" (the Swedish Championship). History From the first tournament in 1904 (for men) and 1911 (for women) until 1983, it was an amateur tournament, from 1910 open only for Swedish citizens, and the winner was the official Swedish champion. Since 1984, except 1985, the tournament has been open to both amateurs and professionals and for foreign citizens. Sára Kousková
Sára Kousková (born 2 July 1999) is a Czech professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. In 2021 she won the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge to become the first Czech amateur to win a professional event. In October 2022 she continued creating Czech golf history with first ever Czech female win of the LET Access Series Order of Merit. Early life and amateur career Kousková was born in Prague and began playing golf when she was five years old. At six, she won her first tournament at a pitch and putt course. She became a member of the Czech National Team in 2013, and became the top-ranked U18 golfer in the Czech Republic. She has represented her country at the European Girls' Team Championship four times, securing a fourth-place finish in 2016. The Ahlsell Trophy is a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour, first played in 2011. It is held near Jönköping, Sweden. The tournament was introduced in 2011, in the second season of the Nordea Tour era, and held at A6 Golf Club, named after the Jönköping Garrison of the Småland Artillery Regiment. Danish amateur Nanna Koerstz Madsen won the final installment at A6 Golf Club in 2013. Nastasia Nadaud (born 23 November 2004) is a French professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. In 2022, she won the German Girls Open, the European Girls' Team Championship and the Göteborg Ladies Open. Early life and amateur career Nadaud was born in Chambéry and learned to play at Aix-les-Bains Golf Club. The Göteborg Ladies Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour and the LET Access Series held in Gothenburg, Sweden. The tournament was played intermittently between 1985 and 2014, always at Delsjö Golf Club except in 1989 when it was held at Isaberg Golf Club.
