2020 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 2020 Swedish Golf Tour was the 35th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden. Schedule The season saw an attempt to rebrand the existing set of tournaments as a pan- Nordic tour, and launch the Nordic Golf Tour (NGT). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the events outside Sweden were cancelled and the remaining Swedish events were removed from the 2020 LET Access Series (LETAS) schedule. Most tournaments held in Sweden went ahead, but with a reduced purse. Swedish Golf Tour Ranking The ranking was shared between Line Toft Hansen and Louise Rydqvist. Line Toft Hansen
Line Toft Hansen (born 31 July 1999) is a Danish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. Early life and amateur career Hansen started playing golf in 2007, taught by her grandfather. She played at Gilleleje Golf Club, where her parents owned the restaurant, and later switched to Hillerød Golf Club. Her brother, Morten Toft Hansen, is also a professional golfer. He won the 2018 Swedish PGA Championship. In 2013, they both won the AON Junior Tour III tournament, in the girls' and boys' category respectively. Hansen won the Finnish International Championship (U16) in 2014. She was runner-up in the team event at the 2015 World Junior Girls Championship in Canada, and finished 10th individually. She was runner-up at the 2017 Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship and runner-up at the 2018 Turkish International Amateur Open Championship. 2021 Ladies European Tour
The 2021 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The season was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with many tournaments either being postponed or cancelled. Among the cancellations was the Australian Swing, the tour's season opening. Schedule The table below shows the 2021 schedule. The season featured a month-long European Swing of the LPGA Tour, starting with the Evian Championship in late July. It also saw the introduction of the Aramco Team Series, four tournaments carrying a $1 million total prize fund each held in London, Sotogrande and New York, concluding in Saudi Arabia in November. The Kristianstad Ladies Open is a professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tournament is played at Kristianstad Golf Club in Åhus, southern Sweden. It was first played in 1986, before being cancelled in 1987. The Swedish Match Play Championship is a golf tournament played since 1904, held for both men and women. It is the oldest and most traditional golf tournament in Sweden. The name SM is shortening in Swedish language for "Svenska Mästerskapet" (the Swedish Championship). Elin Arvidsson
Elin Arvidsson (born 26 July 1992) is a Swedish professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She previously played on the U.S.-based Epson Tour. Early life and amateur career Arvidsson was born in Falkenberg and started playing golf with her family at an early age. She competed on the Skandia Tour, a junior circuit, from her early teens. The Swedish PGA Championship for women is a golf tournament played annually in Sweden since 1997. It has been an event on the Swedish Golf Tour (women), Swedish Golf Tour since inception and featured on the LET Access Series since 2012. A corresponding Swedish PGA Championship for men has been played since 1970. Sara Cecilia Kjellker (born 7 September 1998) is a Swedish professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. As an amateur, she won twice on the Swedish Golf Tour and won the European Ladies' Team Championship twice. Amateur career Kjellker joined the National Team in 2016 and was part of a golden era of Swedish success in European team championships. With the team, which often included Linn Grant, Frida Kinhult, Ingrid Lindblad, Beatrice Wallin and Maja Stark, she was runner-up at the 2016 European Girls' Team Championship in Norway, and won the European Ladies' Team Championship back to back in 2018 and 2019, and lost the final to England in 2021. Ingrid Lindblad
Karin Ingrid Andrea Lindblad (born 11 April 2000) is a Swedish amateur golfer. She won the 2021 European Ladies Amateur. In 2022, she set the amateur 18-hole scoring record at the U.S. Women's Open posting a six-under 65 and was part of the Swedish team winning the World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. She rose to number 2 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in August 2020, and ascended to number 1 in June 2023. Career Lindblad grew up in Halmstad and joined the Swedish National Team in 2017.
