Capio Ögon Trophy
The Capio Ögon Trophy is a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour, first played in 1996. It became a LET Access Series event in 2020. It is always held in Uppsala, Sweden. Played at Upsala Golf Club, the club had previous experience hosting the Upsala Golf International on the Challenge Tour in 1992 and 1993. The event was introduced on the 1996 Swedish Golf Tour as one of four new tournaments alongside Toyota Ladies Open, Öijared Ladies Open and Delsjö Ladies Open (last played in 1988). In 1998, Marie Hedberg won while still a student at San Jose State, and only narrowly lost out on the Player of the Year title to runner-up Nina Karlsson. In 2020, Linn Grant claimed her first professional victory at the event. The 2020 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from August through October 2020 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. Tournament results The 2020 schedule was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with many tournaments either being postponed or cancelled. The table below shows the revised 2020 schedule released mid-year. 2020 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 2020 Swedish Golf Tour was the 35th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden. Schedule The season saw an attempt to rebrand the existing set of tournaments as a pan- Nordic tour, and launch the Nordic Golf Tour (NGT). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the events outside Sweden were cancelled and the remaining Swedish events were removed from the 2020 LET Access Series (LETAS) schedule. Sofie Bringner
Sofie Bringner (born 14 July 1997) is a Swedish professional golfer. She won the 2021 Swedish Matchplay Championship and finished fifth in the 2021 LET Access Series rankings to secure Ladies European Tour membership for 2022. Career Bringner grew up in Henån, Bohuslän and started competing in golf at age 12. In 2015, she had a successful season and won four junior tournaments, which helped her qualify for the Annika Invitational Europe. She graduated from Sinclairgymnasiet in Uddevalla in 2016 and switched clubs from her local Orust Golf Club to train at Hills Golf Club in Gothenburg, deciding to forego the U.S. college path. Bringner turned professional in 2017 and in her rookie season had a best finish of runner-up behind Filippa Möörk in the Flommen Ladies Open at Flommen Golf Club on the 2017 Swedish Golf Tour. Kajsa Arwefjäll (born 20 June 2000) is a Swedish amateur golfer and former world champion rope skipper. Early life and family Arwefjäll was born in Tranås in 2000 and moved with her family to Höllviken in 2009, where she grew up playing at Ljunghusen Golf Club. Raised in an athletic family, her mother is an accomplished skier and her father, a former professional golfer, is her coach. Her brother Kasper plays ice-hockey with the Malmö Redhawks.
