2022 PDC Pro Tour
The 2022 PDC Pro Tour is the next series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. There will be thirty Players Championship events and thirteen PDC European Tour events, and after the split format last year, the Challenge and Development Tours will return as one big tour, rather than a UK/European split tour. Prize money The prize money for the Players Championship events rose from 2021 levels, with each event having a prize fund of £100,000. This is how the prize money is divided: PDC Tour Card 128 players are granted Tour Cards, which enables them to participate in all Players Championships events, the UK Open and qualifiers for all European Tour and select televised events. PDC Pro Tour
The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They comprise Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships and European Tour events. Only four players have gone on to win at least 30 titles on the PDC Pro Tour. Michael van Gerwen has won the most Pro Tour titles winning 84. Phil Taylor is second on the list winning 70 events, Peter Wright third winning 32 events and Gary Anderson in fourth winning 31 events, as of September 2022. Pro Tour Card Since 2011, the PDC Pro Tour has operated a Tour Card system. 128 players are granted Tour Cards, which enables them to participate in all Players Championships. The 2022 Gambrinus Czech Darts Open was the sixth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2022 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the Královka Arena, Prague, Czech Republic, from 13–15 May 2022. It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Jamie Hughes was the defending champion after defeating Stephen Bunting 8–3 in the 2019 final, but he failed to qualify for this tournament, so was unable to defend his title. Ostermann-Arena (formerly Wilhelm Dopatka Halle and Smidt-Arena) is an indoor arena, indoor sporting arena located in Leverkusen, Germany. The capacity of the arena is 3,500 people. The 2022 Interwetten European Darts Open was the fifth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2022 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the Ostermann-Arena, Leverkusen, Germany, from 6–8 May 2022. It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen entered the event as defending champion, having defeated Rob Cross 8–6 in the 2019 final. He successfully defended his title with an 8–5 win over Dimitri Van den Bergh in the final. Premstätten
Premstätten is since January 2016 a new market town with 5,784 residents (as of 1 January 2016) in Graz-Umgebung District of Styria, Austria. However, it was previously founded in January 2015 as the town name "''Unterpremstätten-Zettling''". The 2022 Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix was the third of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2022 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Kulturhalle Zenith, Munich from 16 to 18 April 2022. It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion after defeating Simon Whitlock 8–3 in the 2019 final, but he was whitewashed 7–0 by Luke Humphries in the semi-finals.
