2014 Asian Formula Renault Series
2014 Asian Formula Renault Series (aka AFR Series) was the 15th Asian Formula Renault Series season since its creation by FRD in 2000. The series was based at the Zhuhai International Circuit, and four rounds of the season were held there. For 3 of them, AFR joined Pan Delta Racing Festival and for the season finale, it will be a support race of the Zhuhai 500 km Endurance Race. For the fifth round, at the Shanghai International Circuit, the series was the supporting race to the World Endurance Championship 2014 6 Hours of Shanghai In addition, the series also went to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia for three-round race weekend. Formula Racing Development Limited or FRD Motorsports (FRD) is a motorsport promoter headquartered in Hong Kong, China which was founded in 1997. It has been the organiser and promoter of several Asian and China based championships, such as Asian Formula Renault Championship, China Formula Campus Championship, Clio Cup China Series, and Asia GT Race Series. It also conducts racing schools, driving schools, corporate programs, car events and even an annual celebrity race. 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship Season
The 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship season was the third season of the FIA World Endurance Championship auto racing series, co-organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO). The series was open to Le Mans Prototypes and grand tourer-style racing cars from four ACO categories. World Championship titles were awarded for Le Mans Prototypes drivers and for LMP1 manufacturers, and several World Endurance Cups and Endurance Trophies were also awarded. The eight race series began in April at the Silverstone Circuit and concluded in November at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace. Chao Yin "Neric" Wei (born 21 March 1981) is a Chinese racing driver Formally competing in the TCR International Series and TCR Asia Series. Having previously competed in the Asian Le Mans Series Sprint Cup, Asian Formula Renault Series and Lotus Interport Cup Series amongst others. Guillaume Cunnington (born 7 July 1976) is a French racing driver who competed in the TCR International Series, the All-Japan Formula Three Championship with FSC Motorsport. and the Asian Formula Renault Series, where he won the Masters Class in 2014.
