Formula Racing Development Limited or FRD Motorsports (FRD) is a motorsport promoter headquartered in Hong Kong, China which was founded in 1997. It has been the organiser and promoter of several Asian and China based championships, such as Asian Formula Renault Championship, China Formula Campus Championship, Clio Cup China Series, and Asia GT Race Series. It also conducts racing schools, driving schools, corporate programs, car events and even an annual celebrity race. FRD also has an in-house racing team which takes part in several racing series, most notably in CTCC under the banner of " Chang'an Ford Racing Team". Kenneth Ma (racing Driver)
"Kenneth" Ma Hon Wah (born 24 March 1960) is a Hong Kong racing driver currently competing in the TCR Asia Series. Having previously competed in the Clio Cup China Series and Asian Formula Renault Series among others. Racing career Ma began his career in 2000 in the Formula 2000 Asia, finishing the season 7th in the standings. He was switched to the Asian Formula Renault Series in 2004, racing in the series for many years before switching to the Asian GT Championship in 2008. In 2009, he was switched to the Clio Cup China Series, finishing 2nd in the standings in 2014. In 2012, he raced in the Malaysia Super Series. He raced in the Renault Clio Cup Bohemia and Renault Clio Eurocup in 2013 and 2014, respectively. In 2014 he also raced in the CTM Macau Cup. Shanghai International Circuit
The Shanghai International Circuit () is a motorsport race track, situated in the Jiading District, Shanghai. The circuit is best known as the venue for the annual Chinese Grand Prix which was hosted from 2004 to 2019 and was scheduled again from 2024 onwards, but its race was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. History Shanghai International Circuit was conceived by the Shanghai authorities as a way to showcase the city to the world. Renault Clio
The Renault Clio () is a supermini car (B-segment), produced by French automobile manufacturer Renault. It was launched in 1990, and entered its fifth generation in 2019. Scott Andrew Speed (born January 24, 1983) is an American race car driver who has competed in numerous disciplines, including open-wheel, stock car, and rallycross racing. The Red Bull Junior Team is a driver development program run by the energy drink company Red Bull GmbH in an attempt to identify potential future racing stars in open wheel racing. The similar Red Bull Driver Search, now ended, was an American spinoff of the same idea held in 2005. Members of the Junior Team are financed and sponsored by Red Bull in lower racing formulae. Macau Grand Prix
The Macau Grand Prix ( pt, Grande Prémio de Macau; ) is a motorsport road race for automobiles and motorcycles held annually in Macau. It is the only street circuit racing event in which both cars and motorcycles participate, and one of only two current national Grand Prix events that are not part of the Formula One World Championship, the other being the New Zealand Grand Prix.
