2015 I-League 2nd Division
The 2015 I-League 2nd Division was the eighth season of the I-League 2nd Division, the second division of football in India. Eight clubs participated this season, including Mohammedan S.C. (Kolkata), Mohammedan, after they were relegated from the I-League last season. Aizawl F.C. won the league and will be the first team from Mizoram to play in I-League in 2015–16 I-League season. Venues The double-leg league was held in two venues Kanchenjunga Stadium, Siliguri and SSB Ranidanga Stadium, Golaghat respectively. The initial seven rounds of matches were held in Siliguri, the return legs were held in Golaghat. I-League 2nd Division
I-League 2, previously known as I-League 2nd Division and officially known as or Hero I-League 2 (for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp), is an Indian men's professional football league. It is the 3rd tier of Indian football, behind Indian Super League and I-League. It operates as a system of promotion with I-League (final qualifying phase of state leagues teams). In 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic in India, the league format was changed into I-League Qualifiers. To avoid confusion with I-League being the second tier, the league was renamed to I-League 2 by AIFF in 2022. The 2nd Division league was introduced from the 2008 season, having been previously known as the National Football League 2nd Division. State FA's nominate teams who have finished at the top of their respective state leagues (or passing the required criteria). Ananta Kumar Ghosh
Ananta Kumar Ghosh (born 4 November 1954) is an Indian football coach who last managed Mohammedan Sporting. Coaching career Born in Kolkata, West Bengal, Ghosh started his coaching career in football in the 1980s when he gained his Master of Sports from the National Institute of Sports in Patiala. He then earned his AFC "B" License in 1998 before earning his AFC "A" License in 2000. In 2005, while heading the Sports Authority of India coaching association, Ghosh blamed the lack of coordination between the government and sports bodies for why football in India is lacking behind the rest of the world. In 2012, after sacking head coach Pakir Ali, Chirag United Club Kerala announced that Ghosh would join the team later in the season as a coach but for some reason that move never materialized. Lonestar (formerly known as Texassee) is an American country music group from Nashville, Tennessee. The group consists of Drew Womack (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Michael Britt (lead guitar, background vocals), Dean Sams (keyboards, acoustic guitar, background vocals), and Keech Rainwater (drums). Britt, Sams, and Rainwater co-founded the band in 1992 with original lead vocalist Richie McDonald and bass guitarist/vocalist John Rich. Ekendra Singh (born 16 June 1957) is a football manager who most recently managed Kenkre FC in the I-League 2nd Division. Coaching career Sporting Clube de Goa In the summer of 2010 Singh signed with then I-League 2nd Division club Sporting Clube de Goa who were just relegated from the I-League after the 2009–10 season.
