The 2011–12 synchronized skating season began on July 1, 2011, and ended on June 30, 2012. Haydenettes
The Haydenettes are a senior-level synchronized skating team representing Hayden Recreation Centre in Lexington, Massachusetts, United States. They are five-time bronze medalists at the World Synchronized Skating Championships, earning the title in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2016. Formed in 1979 by Lynn Benson, the Haydenettes are the most successful synchronized skating team in U.S. history, with 28 U.S. National titles. Team Members of the Haydenettes are required to have mastered advanced figure skating skills, including senior-level moves, gold-level pattern dances, and at least novice freestyle. The Hayden teams draw skaters from around the world, though the teams are composed primarily of skaters from the greater Boston area. NEXXICE
NEXXICE is the name for synchronized skating teams representing Burlington Skating Centre from Burlington, Ontario, Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Their senior team are ten-time Skate Canada Synchronized Championships, Canadian national champions (2007–17), the first North American team to win the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships, World Championships (2009), and again in 2015. They are 2012–14 World silver medalists and 2007–08 & 2016-17 World bronze medalists. The NEXXICE teams' coaching staff includes Shelley Barnett and Anne Schelter. For the 2006–07 season the club added a Junior competitive team and Adult competitive team to their club. Both are coached by Trish Mills.
