Borger Christophersen Hoen
Borger Kristoffersson Hoen (5 June 1799 – 10 May 1877) was a Norwegian farmer and politician. Hoen was born on the Vølstad farm at Øvre Eiker in Buskerud, Norway. He was the son of Christopher Borgersen Hoen, who had served on the Norwegian Constitutional Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814. In 1791, his father had acquired the Nedre Hoen farm which he inherited. His father was a supporter of the Haugean Movement (''haugianere''). Hans Nielsen Hauge visited Nedre Hoen several times, and the farm was an important center of Haugeans in Eiker. Hoen was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1842 and 1845, representing the rural constituency of ''Buskeruds Amt'' (now Buskerud Buskerud () is a former county and a current electoral district in Norway, bordering Akershus, Oslo, Oppland, Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Telemark and Vestfold. Jens Henrik Beer
Jens Henrik Beer (11 June 1799 – 22 June 1881) was a Norwegian businessperson, farmer and politician. He was born in Flekkefjord as a son of ship-owner and consul Christopher Beer (1770–1839) and Anne Malene Tjørsvaag (1772–1820). He was an older brother of Anders Beer, and a grandson of Jens Henrik Beer, Sr. He attended school in Bergen and England, and then worked for a period in Bergen before returning to his hometown in 1821. In 1824 he married Andrea Laurentze Mølbach (1802–1872). He worked as a ship-owner, shipbuilder, sawmill owner and merchant. He was the vice consul for Denmark from 1830 to 1853, the Russian Empire from 1932 to 1863 and the Netherlands from 1853 to 1863. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1836, representing the rural constituency of Lister og Mandals Amt. He sat through only one term. Ole Gabriel Ueland (28 October 1799 – 9 January 1870) was a Norway, Norwegian political leader and member of the Storting, Norwegian Parliament (1833–1869). Historians credit him with having popularized politics in rural Norway, paving the way for individuals of limited backgrounds to rise to positions of political importance. Ueland was the son of Gabriel Osmundsen (1760–1843) and his wife Ingeborg Osmundsdatter Skaaland (1764–1816). Ueland was born on the Skåland farm in Lund, Norway, Lund parish in Rogaland, Norway. Ueland was raised in the traditional district of Dalane, a region characterized by small farms and an environment influenced by the Haugean Movement (''haugianere''). Although his formal education had been limited to random local lessons, he had proven an unusual aptitude for learning and an appetite for reading.
