Christian Pierre Mathiesen
Christian Pierre Mathiesen (14 April 1870 – 8 August 1953) was a Norwegian landowner and politician for the Conservative Party. Background He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway, as the youngest son of landowner and industrialist Haaken C. Mathiesen. He finished his secondary education in 1888, graduated from the agricultural school at Sem in 1890 and also took agricultural education in Denmark. He was the owner of Linderud Manor from 1893, while his oldest brother Haaken L. Mathiesen inherited the family company Mathiesen Eidsvold Værk. In 1940 he passed Linderud Manor down to his nephew, another Mathiesen Eidsvold Værk inheritor, Jørgen Mathiesen. Career Having many political positions in Aker, Mathiesen was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1900 from the constituency Akershus Amt. He served one term. Ivar Lykke Falch Lind
Ivar Lykke Falch Lind (27 February 1870 – 2 July 1951) was a Norwegian jurist and politician for the Conservative Party. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1903, and served one term. From 1920 to 1912 he served as a deputy representative. Lind was mayor of Kinn Municipality from 1923 to 1928, and from 1926 to 1928 he was temporary County Governor of Sogn og Fjordane after the County Governor Ingolf Elster Christensen was appointed to the cabinet Lykke. Severin Andreas Heyerdahl
Severin Andreas Heyerdahl (28 August 1870 – 26 June 1940) was a Norwegian was a physician, radiologist and hospital director. He was a pioneer in the use of radiology and radiation therapy in Norway. Biography He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of Severin Andreas Heyerdahl (1818-75) and Ragna Møller (1832-1926). He took his examen artium at Aars og Voss skole in 1888. He was hired as the manager of the x-ray department at Rikshospitalet in 1899. He took his dr.med. degree at the University of Oslo in 1910. Heyerdahl started with radium treatment at the Rikshospitalet in 1912. Together with Hans L. C. Huitfeldt, he co-founded the cancer treatment clinic ''Kristiania Radium-Institutt'' in 1913. Helmer Hanssen
Helmer Julius Hanssen (24 September 1870 – 2 August 1956) was a Norwegian sailor, pilot and polar explorer. He participated in three of the polar expeditions led by Roald Amundsen and was one of the first five explorers to reach the South Pole. Background Helmer Hanssen was born in Bjørnskinn, on the island of Andøya in Nordland, Norway. He was an experienced ice pilot, a skill he had learned while hunting around Spitsbergen. Between 1894 and 1897, he hunted small whales and seals in the Arctic Sea. He later sailed for the Norwegian shipping company, Vesteraalens Dampskibsselskab. Theodor Bull
Theodor Bull (1870 – 1958) was a Norwegian businessperson and genealogist. He was born in Kristiania as a son of medical doctor Edvard Isak Hambro Bull (1845–1925). He was a brother of theatre director Johan Peter Bull, historian and politician Edvard Bull and literary professor Francis Bull. Through Edvard Bull he was the uncle of historian Edvard Bull. He was also a nephew of military officer Karl Sigwald Johannes Bull, grandnephew of Anders Sandøe Ørsted Bull, great-grandson of Georg Jacob Bull and great-great-grandson of Chief Justice Johan Randulf Bull.
