Élysette
The Élysette () is the executive seat of the Government of Wallonia. It houses the office of the Minister-President of Wallonia, and is located in Namur, Namur province, Belgium. History Built in 1877 by master-tanner Xavier Thibault, it was bought by the Walloon Region to the city of Namur. This building, hosting the office of the Minister-President, as well as his official residence, is on the right shore of the Meuse river, in Jambes, the administrative borough of Namur, capital of Wallonia. For the Minister-President's good services, you can find there kitchens, two bedrooms for the servants, garages, offices and meeting rooms (especially the Council of Ministers' Room). A flat, consisting of a bedroom, a dining room, a bathroom and a living room is next to the Minister-President's Office. The Élysette faces the Parliament of Wallonia. Jambes
Jambes (; wa, Djambe) is a town of Wallonia and a district of the city of Namur, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. It was formerly a municipality itself until the fusion of Belgian municipalities in 1977. The Walloon Government (french: Gouvernement wallon) or Government of Wallonia (french: Gouvernement de Wallonie) is the executive branch of Wallonia, and it is part of one of the six main governments of Belgium. The Parliament of Wallonia (french: Parlement de Wallonie) (Walloon Parliament (french: Parlement wallon) in the decrees) is the legislative body of Wallonia, one of the three self-governing regions of Belgium (the other two being Flanders and the Brussels-Capital Region). Meuse
The Meuse ( , , , ; wa, Moûze ) or Maas ( , ; li, Maos or ) is a major European river, rising in France and flowing through Belgium and the Netherlands before draining into the North Sea from the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta. Sambre
The Sambre (; nl, Samber, ) is a river in northern France and in Wallonia, Belgium. It is a left-bank tributary of the Meuse, which it joins in the Wallonian capital Namur. The source of the Sambre is near Le Nouvion-en-Thiérache, in the Aisne ''département''. It passes through the Franco-Belgian coal basin, formerly an important industrial district. The navigable course begins in Landrecies at the junction with the Canal de la Sambre à l'Oise, which links with the central French waterway network (or did, until navigation was interrupted in 2006 following structural failures). The history of Wallonia, from prehistoric times to the present day, is that of a territory which, since 1970, has approximately coincided with the territory of Wallonia, a federated component of Belgium, which also includes the smaller German-speaking Community of Belgium (73,000 inhabitants).
