József Kanta
József Kanta (born 24 March 1984) is a Hungarian professional football coach and a former player. He is the coach of the Under-19 squad of MTK Budapest. He represented the Hungary national football team. He won the first of his two caps against Cyprus on 6 February 2007. MTK Budapest FC
Magyar Testgyakorlók Köre Budapest Futball Club or shortly MTK is a professional Association football, football club based in Józsefváros, Budapest, Hungary. The club currently plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. The club's colours are blue and white. As one of the most successful Hungarian football clubs, MTK has won the Hungarian League 23 times and the Hungarian Cup 12 times. The club has also won the Hungarian Super Cup twice. In 1955, as ''Vörös Lobogó SE'', they became the first Hungarian team to play in the European Cup 1955–56, European Cup and in 1964 they finished as runners-up in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup 1963–64, European Cup Winners' Cup after losing to Sporting Clube de Portugal in the final. The 2007–08 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 106th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''Soproni Liga'' for sponsoring reasons. The season started on 20 July 2007 and ended on 2 June 2008. The league was contested by 16 teams and MTK Budapest emerged victorious, breaking DVSC's hegemony in the league. The two teams were in a two-way title race for much of the season, with the fate of the championship being decided on the penultimate day of the season, after MTK beat REAC 1-4 in Zugló. Debrecen finished 2nd, 2 points off the trophy. Despite failing to retain their championship, Debrecen still had a memorable season, only losing at home to champions MTK, and winning 8 of their last 9 games. The 2019–20 Nemzeti Bajnokság II (also known as 2019–20 Merkantil Bank Liga) is Hungary's 69th season of the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, the second tier of the Hungarian football league system. On 29 July 2019, it was announced that Balmazújváros did not receive license from the Hungarian Football Federation. On 29 August 2019 it was confirmed that Balmazújváros's license was suspended. Therefore, the 2019-20 Nemzeti Bajnokság would continue with 19 teams only. On 4 May 2020 season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. DVSC suffered two defeats early on in the season, and found themselves 4 points behind Videoton FC by matchday 10, however, they managed to overtake their Western rivals, and went into the winter break with a 4 point lead over Videoton, and were undefeated between September and April.
