The 2013–14 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 112th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league is officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. The season began 26 July 2013 and concluded on 1 June 2014. Győr were the defending champions, having won their fourth Hungarian championship the previous season. Overview The season was contested by 16 teams, and concluded with Debreceni VSC winning their seventh national title, and their second under Elemér Kondás. DVSC suffered two defeats early on in the season, and found themselves 4 points behind Videoton FC by matchday 10, however, they managed to overtake their Western rivals, and went into the winter break with a 4 point lead over Videoton, and were undefeated between September and April. A slip of form by Videoton during the spribg allowed defending champions Győri-ETO to get close to DVSC, and by Matchday 25, the difference between Debrecen and Győ were just 3 points. Győr won ... Nemzeti Bajnokság I
The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, ), also known as NB I or Fizz Liga after its title sponsor, OTP Bank's webshop subsidiary, is a professional association football league in Hungary and the highest level of the Hungarian football league system. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at. At the end of the season, the top team enters the qualification rounds for the UEFA Champions League, while the runner-up and the third place, together with the winner of the Magyar Kupa enter the UEFA Conference League qualification rounds. The bottom two clubs are relegated to Nemzeti Bajnokság II, the second-level league, to be replaced by the winner and the runner up of the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, NB II. Elemér Kondás
Elemér Kondás (born 11 September 1963) is a Hungarian football manager and former player. Managerial career Létavértes Kondás managed Létavértes between 2004 and 2007. Debreceni VSC Kondás was appointed as the manager of Debrecen in 2011. He started the 2011-12 with a seven consecutive wins. On 25 July 2016, he resigned after a defeat against Vasas SC on the second match day of the 2016–17 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season and after a double defeat in the second qualifying round 2016–17 UEFA Europa League defeat against Torpedo Zhodino. On 8 August 2016, he was replaced by the Portuguese Leonel Pontes. Kisvárda On 31 July 2018, he was sacked after two consecutive defeats in the 2018-19 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season. Szombathelyi Haladás
Szombathelyi Haladás (), is a Hungarian football club based in Szombathely. ''Haladás'' is the Hungarian word for ''progress''. The club, which was founded in 1919, plays its home games at the Haladás Sportkomplexum which has a capacity of 8,903. The club colours are green and white. Pécsi Mecsek Football Club, commonly referred to as Pécsi MFC or simply PMFC, is a professional Hungarian football club based in Pécs, Baranya, that currently competes in the Hungarian third division. Újpest Football Club () is a Hungary, Hungarian professional association football, football club based in Újpest, Budapest, that competes in Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Formed in 1885, Újpest reached the first division of the Hungarian League in Nemzeti Bajnokság I 1905, 1905 and has been relegated only once since then. Magyar Testgyakorlók Köre Budapest Futball Club or shortly MTK is a professional Association football, football club based in Józsefváros, Budapest, Hungary. The club currently plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. The club's colours are blue and white. Puskás Akadémia Football Club is a professional football club based in Felcsút, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of Hungarian football. 2012–13 Nemzeti Bajnokság II
Zalaegerszeg and Vasas finished the 2011–12 season in the bottom two places of the table and thus were relegated to their respective NB II divisions. Vasas ended an 8-year stay in the top league. Zalaegerszeg ended an 18-year stay in the top league. The two relegated teams were replaced with the champions of the two 2011–12 NB II groups, Eger of the East Group and MTK of the West Group. The 2013–14 Nemzeti Bajnokság II football season was a single sixteen-team league, unlike previous years, which had two geographically-based sixteen-team groups. BFC Siofok and Egri FC were relegated from the 2012–13 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, but Egri FC did not receive a license for the national championship. Egri FC is a Hungarian football club, based in Eger. The club's colours are red and blue. They played five times in the first league, however there were two years in the recent past (2003–05) when the city of Eger had no adult football team.
